    Abstract: The invention relates to a sensor for measuring temperature without contact. Both the instantaneous temperature and the rising above or falling below a critical temperature can be detected. The invention is characterized in that the sensor contains a magnetic element (for example, a magnetocaloric material and/or shape memory alloy), the magnetic characteristics of which change greatly as the temperature changes. The temperature to be measured is determined indirectly by means of a variable magnetic field (which acts, for example, on the resonator plate or another soft magnetic element).
