    Abstract: A catheter has a tubular plastics body and an insulated metal wire extending along the bore of the catheter through an aperture close to its patient end. The exposed end of the wire is covered by and connects with an electrically-conductive plastics material injection molded about the tubular body to form an electrode with a convex surface projecting from the surface of the catheter.
