  • Patent number: 6564827
Abstract: The invention relates to a shut-off apparatus for the charging device of a pressure vessel, especially for the storage of cryogenic liquefied gases, having a shut-off valve with a valve housing and a valve body stressed by a closure spring which, in order to charge the pressure vessel, can be brought into the open position against the force of the closure spring, having an apparatus for locking the valve body in the open position of the valve and having a release apparatus subjected to the action of the vessel pressure, which causes the apparatus to release the lock if a predetermined threshold vessel pressure is exceeded.

  • Patent number: 5823863
Abstract: The prior art discloses machines which, for cooling the surface to be machined, have a gas supply line which opens into a gas outlet which is in the direct vicinity of the polishing disk. When CO.sub.2 is used as cooling gas, stoppages, which can be traced back to snow formation of the CO.sub.2, may occur in the line and in the gas outlet. In order to avoid blockages, the machine is assigned means for the supply of the liquid or supercritical CO.sub.2 which comprise a valve for regulating the throughflow quantity of the CO.sub.2 with an expansion nozzle, the valve being arranged inside the machine.

  • Patent number: 4938376
Abstract: A valve for safeguarding the outer container of a double wall vacuum-insulated container for low boiling liquified gases against a pressure increase in the insulation space after a loss of vacuum comprises a valve housing fastened in the outer container, a valve plug and an O-ring which, as a result of deformation, act as a sealing element between the valve housing and the valve plug. The dimensions of the valve housing and seal plug causing deformation of the O-ring in the radial direction and the influence of the outside air pressure causing simulataneous deformation in the axial direction.
