Abstract: The invention pertains to a support mechanism for holding and adjusting an optical element (2), the support mechanism comprising a mounting frame (1) having a hollow-cylindrical opening (10) with a first end and a second end for accommodating the optical element (2), characterized by a thread screw (14) at the first end of the opening (10), a circular clamping nut (4) having an external thread, designed for being threaded onto the thread screw (14), and a circular collet (3) having a first part (31) for holding the optical element (2) and a second part (32) with a multitude of collet jaws (33), wherein the clamping nut (4) and the collet (3) are designed for being positioned in the opening (10) in such a way that the optical element (2) is held fixedly in the collet (3), and a tilt orientation of the optical element (2) is adjustable by rotating the collet (3) and fixable. The invention also pertains to a method for positioning and orienting an optical element (2) in a mounting frame (1).

Abstract: An implement hitch is disclosed for a tractor having arms for attachment to an implement, wherein the arms have part-spherical sockets at their free ends for receiving coupling balls which during operation receive coupling pins on the implement to be connected by means of the hitch to the tractor. The hitch has lifting arms that are each movable by a respective hydraulic cylinder and are connected to the associated hydraulic cylinder by a linkage that incorporates at least one pivot pin. In the invention, at least one of the pivot pins has a projecting extension dimensioned to fit within the through bore of a coupling ball and a stop is provided on the extension to prevent a coupling ball supported by the pivot pin from sliding off the extension.

Abstract: A portable electronic device (810) for controlling a training exercise executing on a simulator of an Air Traffic Control (ATC) system, a method of doing the same using a portable electronic device (810), and a computer program product are disclosed. The device (810) is capable of wirelessly communicating with the simulator (820, 830) also suitable adapted for wireless communications. The device (810) comprises a display, a memory for storing data and one or more computer programs, a user input mechanism, and a processor. The device (810) displays on the display information about a training exercise executing on the simulator and receives inputs to control the training exercise on the simulator. The displayed information and the received inputs are communicated between the simulator and the portable electronic device (810).

Abstract: A portable electronic device (1410) for controlling a simulated aircraft in a training exercise executing in an Air Traffic Control (ATC) system having a simulator, a method of doing the same using a portable electronic device (1410), and a computer program product are disclosed. The device is capable of wirelessly communicating with the simulator (1420, 1430) also suitable adapted for wireless communications. The device (1410) comprises a display (2014), a memory (2006) for storing data and one or more computer programs, a user input mechanism (2002, 2070, 2071), and a processor (2005). The device (1410) displays on the display information about an aircraft in a training exercise executing on the simulator and receives inputs to control the aircraft in the training exercise on the simulator. The displayed information and the received inputs are communicated between the simulator and the portable electronic device (1410).

Abstract: Method for producing a capsule containing beverage ingredients designed for insertion in a beverage production device in which a liquid under pressure enters the capsule in order to interact with the ingredients in the capsule and to drain a beverage from the capsule, wherein the capsule includes a body with a sealing member attached thereto. The method includes providing the body with a main cavity, injecting at least one sealing material by injection-molding onto at least a portion of the external surface of the body to mold a sealing member sealingly attached to the body, filling the cavity with food ingredients and imperviously closing the cavity with a membrane to provide a closed capsule containing the food ingredients.

Abstract: An implant for fastening ligaments or tendons to a bone or bone replacement, generally referred to as a bone member. The implant has a housing, a device for fixing or attaching a ligament or tendon, and a device for being fastened to the bone member. The fixing device can be displaced relative to the fastening device. At least one motor is provided for displacing the fixing device relative to the fastening device. The motor is connected to a receiver for telemetrically triggering the motor. The implant allows the tension of the ligament or tendon and the position of the attachment of the ligament or the tendon to be post-operatively adjusted in an optimal fashion.

Abstract: A hand-held shower comprises a handle through the interior of which the water supply to the shower head is effected, the connection fitting for the shower hose is held in an axially displaceable manner: in a first axial position, the connection fitting is freely rotatable relative to the handle so that the shower hose connected to the hand-held shower is prevented from twisting. In the second axial position of the connection fitting, the free rotatability relative to the handle is suspended by a form closure.

Abstract: An apparatus for the quick inflation of an airbag has a compressed-gas tank and a propellant charge container having pyrotechnical contents which form a propellant gas upon ignition. A breakaway disk blocks passage of compressed-gas and propellant gas to the airbag and is blown off in response to the ignition of the pyrotechnical contents to unblock the passages. The breakaway disk has an opening through which the propellant gas can flow into the airbag immediately after the ignition and before the breakaway disk is blown off.

Abstract: A multifunction hand shower can be used in at least two modes of operation: in the first of these modes of operation, the shower jets emerge from the shower base (3) in a constant stream at relatively high speed and with a small cross-section ("hard jet mode") and in the second mode of operation they emerge at high speed and with a relatively small cross-section, but are intermittently interrupted ("pulse jet mode"). The periodic interruption of the "pulse jets" is ensured by a pulse wheel (23) which is housed in a circular chamber (20) in the housing (1) in such a way that it can rotate. In the "hard jet mode", the rotation of the pulse wheel (23) is interrupted, by a stop (45), in a quite specific angular position which allows the hard jets to emerge from the shower base (3) in a constant stream. To change over to "pulse jet mode", the stop (45) is moved out of the path of movement of a stop (28) which is connected to the pulse wheel (23) such that the pulse wheel (23) is now able to rotate freely.

Abstract: In a multifunction hand shower the mode of operation is selected by a change-over mechanism which has a slide (56) which has essentially linear movement. This can be set in three different positions. The slide (56) is connected via a guide and cam mechanism (62, 65) to a first change-over device (37) which can be moved into two different positions. The first position is adopted by the first change-over device (37) in the first mode of operation and the second position in the two other modes of operation. A second change-over device (45) can also be moved backwards and forwards between two positions which correspond to the second and a third mode of operation of the shower. Here, a spring (49) forces the second change-over device (45) into a preferred position. Whether the second change-over device (45) reaches this preferred position depends upon the position of a stop (59, 60) which is attached to the slide (56). The slide (56) is moved for preference by a rocker-type manual actuator (53).

Abstract: The shower base (1) of a shower head consists of a rigid perforated plate (1a), which has a number of holes (4, 5). Set inside each of the holes (4, 5) in the perforated plate (1a) is a hose-type jet insert (6, 8) made of a flexible material which, owing to its material properties, can be automatically flexed to dislodge limescale deposits. The shower base (1) is sealed against the rest of the shower head, in particular against its housing (2) by means of one or more seals (25, 29). This/these seal(s) (25, 29) is/are made of the same material as the jet inserts (6, 8) and is/are manufactured jointly with these, for preference connected in one piece. In this way, it is not necessary for the seals (25, 29) to be manufactured, kept in store and assembled separately.

Abstract: The housing (1) of a flow restricting valve has a first connection (3) which acts as a connection to a shower hose, and also a second connection (5) via which the valve can be connected to a hand shower. There are provided inside the housing 1 and parallel to each other, two outlet openings 7, 8 which determine the rate of flow per unit of time. One (7) of these outlet openings has a smaller cross-section than the other (8). The outlet opening (8) with the larger cross-section is normally sealed by a valve disk (9) so that the water can only flow through the smaller outlet opening (7) at a smaller power output per liter. If, once in a while, a greater power output per liter is required from the shower, then the valve plate can be removed from the outlet opening (8) with the larger cross-section by means of a manual actuator (15) and moved into a second position in which it at least considerably throttles or completely seals the flow path to the outlet opening (7) with the smaller cross-section.
