Abstract: Described herein are devices for the testing of the effect of liquids on one or more flat materials. In one embodiment, the device comprises a first plate having a plurality of recesses; a second plate for engaging the first plate, wherein the first and second plates are adapted to receive at least one substrate for testing therebetween, the plates defining a plurality of chambers; a drive for moving the first and second plates; and heating means, for increasing the temperature in the chambers. Methods for the testing the effect of liquids on one or more flat materials are also described.
