Abstract: A method for providing secure access to network secure logical storage partitions is disclosed. The method comprises automatically associating at least one of a plurality of secure logical storage partitions in a storage device in a network with at least one of a plurality of uniquely identified servers in a cell in the network in response to a request for storage over the network. The method also comprises automatically associating the cell with at least one client using network isolation of the cell, and using network isolation of the storage device to restrict access to at least one of the plurality of secure logical storage partitions to the one of the plurality of uniquely identified servers in the cell. In a particular embodiment, the method also comprises determining whether storage capacity is available for the at least one client in response to the request, and automatically creating the cell if the cell does not already exist.

  • Patent number: 7450128
Abstract: A method comprises providing image copy and modify commands to a receiver. Each copy command causes pixel values in an area of a display associated with the receiver to be copied to another area of the display and each modify command causes at least one pixel value in an area of the display to be modified. The method further comprises generating a future copy region if a future copy command that is providable to the receiver is encountered. The future copy region defines one or more rectangles of pixels on the display that are copyable in the future on the display associated with the receiver. The method also comprises using the future copy region to avoid sending a future copy command to the receiver that will copy pixel values that are to be modified on a display associated with a sending system.

  • Patent number: 7064765
Abstract: A frame-grabbing system in accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the present invention comprises a frame buffer, a graphics adapter, video output interface and logic. The graphics adapter is configured to receive graphics commands from a graphics application and to render graphical data from the graphics commands to the frame buffer. The video output interface is configured to read the frame buffer and to transmit a video data signal based on graphical data stored in the frame buffer. The logic is configured to perform, in response to a frame grab request, a frame grab of an image frame based on the video data signal, the frame defined by the graphical data stored in the frame buffer. The logic is further configured to prevent, in response to the frame grab request, the graphics adapter from updating the frame buffer during the frame grab.

  • Patent number: 7061899
Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided for performing network routing. The present invention comprises authentication logic, decision logic and routing logic. The authentication logic is configured to receive packets sent from a source agent to a tunnel endpoint and to determine whether or not the security association corresponds to the source agent that configured the tunnel. The decision logic makes a routing decision that is constrained based on the security association of an authenticated. The routing logic then selects a routing destination for the authenticated packet that is based at least partially on the routing decision made by the decision.
