At least one device (35) is used to store instructions according to which the operating states are processed and states with which the processed operating states are compared. The inventive welding device also comprises at least one device (36) which is connected to the calculating unit (29) and is used to transmit messages to external receivers (37) in such a way that associated messages can be automatically transmitted to the external receivers (37) according to the results of said comparison.
