  • Patent number: 5342886
Abstract: Novel graft copolymers, well adopted for compatibilizing at least two normally incompatible thermoplastic polymers, include the copolymerizates of at least one monoamino-substituted polyamide oligomer and an .alpha.-monoolefin polymer or copolymer having grafted thereon a monomer which is reactive with the amine functional group of the monoamino-substituted polyamide oligomer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 11, 1991
Date of Patent: August 30, 1994
    Assignee: Atochem
Inventors: Michel Glotin, Roland Parsy, Patrick Abadie
  • Patent number: 5268426
Abstract: An agent is provided which renders compatible at least two incompatible thermoplastic polymers. The agent contains one di- or trisequenced copolymer comprising at least one N-vinyl pyrrolidone or methyl (meth) acrylate telomer and one mono- or difunctional oligomer selected from the group consisting of an ethylenically unsaturated polymerizable monomer, or a polycondensable monomer, or a lactam. The agent is prepared by condensation of the telomer with the oligomer and is used in the preparation of alloys of incompatible thermoplastic polymers.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 19, 1991
Date of Patent: December 7, 1993
    Assignee: Atochem
    Inventors: Roland Parsy, Nadine Rivas
  • Patent number: 5089546
Abstract: An oligomer of the formula ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 =H or CH.sub.3 ;R.sub.2 =C.sub.t H.sub.2t in whcih 0.ltoreq.t.ltoreq.18;Z is selected from C.sub.2 H.sub.4, C2H2 and ##STR2## in which 2.ltoreq.d.ltoreq.16; m is an integer such that 1.ltoreq.m.ltoreq.3;R.sub.3 =C.sub.t'H.sub.2t'+1 in which t'.gtoreq.1 and 8.ltoreq.t+t'+2m.ltoreq.22n and n' are identical or different integers, such that 2.ltoreq.n+n'.ltoreq.20;b is an integer equal to 0 or 1; anda is an integer ranging from 2 to 500.The invention also comprises the method of making the oligomer and thermoplastic films containing the same as well as the resultant thermoplastic films.
