  • Patent number: 4424552
Abstract: A condenser block comprising a stack of insulating layers, separated by metal plates, arranged in relation to one another in such a way that at least part of each metal plate is approximately opposite at least part of another plate, in the direction of stacking, these metal plates forming the condenser plates. In this invention, one metal plate, positioned between any pair of insulating layers, and opposite a second metal plate, placed above the first such plate, between a second pair of insulating layers, faces a third metal plate, also placed above the first plate, between a different pair of insulating layers from the second such pair.

  • Patent number: 4389703
Abstract: Integrated voltage multiplier constructed by multilayer technology in the form of a homogeneous block constituted by a stack of thin ceramic dielectric sheets metallized in such a way that each sheet carries metallized zones constituting the foils of capacitors, certain of which are connected in series. Thus, the block has at least two groups of series-connected capacitors. A recess is provided in the block between the two groups for the diodes interconnecting the capacitors of the two groups.

  • Patent number: 4315299
Abstract: The application relates to a high power tubular ceramic capacitors cooled by an auxiliary fluid. To increase the electrical power dissipated by these capacitors a better thermal equilibrium is obtained by means of a novel turbulent, laminar, cooling water circuit between the capacitor body and a central tube having a large relative diameter, said device cooperating with a connector which distributes the dissipated heat over the capacitor body.

  • Patent number: 4312023
Abstract: A multilayer, ceramic dielectric power capacitor made of plural layers of thin films of dielectric material having a thickness between 20 and 200 microns and a dielectric strength which is greater than that of thick layers, but which reduces the volume of the capacitor. Formed on each dielectric thin film is a conductive foil having a thickness between 2 and 10 microns. The thickness of the dielectric films is quite thin to reduce the volume of the capacitor, while that of the foils is thick, as compared to the prior art, to facilitate removal of heat. An anti-corona groove is provided to protect the connections at the capacitor terminals. The capacitor is useful in high frequency generator applications.
