  • Publication number: 20180094565
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method and a device for determining the load condition of an exhaust gas particulate filter that is arranged in an exhaust gas path of an internal combustion engine that is charged by an exhaust gas turbocharger. • Patent number: 9222392
Abstract: The present invention relates to an exhaust gas treatment device for an exhaust system of a combustion engine, more preferably of a motor vehicle with a housing comprising a jacket and an outlet funnel, with at least one exhaust gas treatment element which is arranged in the jacket and which via a support ring is axially supported on the housing, wherein the outlet funnel comprises an outer funnel and an inner funnel. A simplified design is obtained if the outer funnel at an inner end facing the jacket is connected to the jacket in a fixed manner and at an outer end facing away from the jacket is connected in a fixed manner to the inner funnel, and if between the inner funnel and the outer funnel an insulation space circumferentially running in circumferential direction is formed and the inner funnel at an inner end facing the jacket carries the support ring and relative to the outer funnel is at least axially loose.

  • Patent number: 8370047
Abstract: The precision of an intake manifold model for a supercharged internal combustion engine can be improved, wherein a first pressure value in the inlet tract (3) downstream of a throttle valve (6) and upstream of a compressor (7) and second pressure value (3) downstream of the compressor (7) are calculated by means of the intake manifold model. Furthermore, a first reference pressure and a second reference pressure are recorded by two pressure sensors (13, 14). It is determined whether the internal combustion engine (1) is operating in charging mode or not. The intake manifold model is then corrected on a difference between the first pressure value and the first reference value and a difference between the second pressure value and the second reference value depending on whether the operating mode is the charging mode or not.

  • Publication number: 20050252199
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for regenerating a particulate filter, which is mounted inside the exhaust gas channel of an internal combustion engine, filters particles out of the exhaust gas flowing inside of the exhaust gas channel, and which is intermittently regenerated during operation. According to the method, the actual air mass flow (Lexp) supplied to the internal combustion engine is measured, and the air requirement (Lcalc) of the internal combustion engine is determined. A regeneration of the particulate filter is initiated based on a difference (?L) between the air mass flow and the air requirement.

  • Publication number: 20040155523
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for modifying and adjusting the braking force in a hydraulic brake system in a vehicle, whereby the pedal control exercised by the driver is measured and is converted via a predefined function into braking pressure to be produced in a wheel brake device, said pressure corresponding to a deceleration of the vehicle. In order to increase the braking safety, the braking pressure or the variable correlating with the braking pressure can be individually manipulated as a function of the pedal control within a section of said pedal control between the initial starting point and maximum pedal control point.
