Abstract: The invention relates to compound antifoams comprising alkoxylated partial esters--using from 3 to 60 mol of propylene oxide with or without from 1 to 10 mol of styrene oxide and/or from 1 to 10 mol of butylene oxide--of oligoglycerols, obtainable by condensation of 2 to 20 glycerol molecules, with C.sub.8 to C.sub.22 fatty acids and inorganic or organic solids for defoaming polymer dispersions and aqueous coating systems.

Abstract: Polysiloxane-polyoxyethylene-polyoxypropylene triblock copolymers having the general formula: ##STR1## as well as compounds for the defoaming of aqueous dispersion paints that are disclosed contain the copolymers as effective defoaming components.

Abstract: A composition is disclosed which is useful for the water-repellent impregnation of porous mineral building materials. The composition is based on organosilicon compounds which contain alkoxy groups and comprises an emulsion which contains 2.5 to 25% by weight of an alkoxysilane of the formulaR.sup.1 -Si(OR.sup.2).sub.3whereinR.sup.1 is an alkyl group with 3 to 12 carbon atoms andR.sup.2 is a methyl or ethyl group, 2 to 20% by weight of an alkoxysiloxane of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sup.3 is an alkyl group with 1 to 6 carbon atomsa is 0.8 to 1.2 andb is 0.2 to 1.2,0.01 to 5% by weight of an emulsifier, 0.01 to 0.1% by weight of fillers with an effective surface area of at least 40 m.sup.2 /g and 49.9 to 95.48% by weight of water. The composition has a long shelf life and, due to its high penetration, a high water-repellent effect on the surface, as well as deep within, all mineral building materials.

Abstract: Polyoxyalkylene-polysiloxane block copolymers are disclosed which exhibit an outstanding defoaming action and have the special advantage of not causing wetting defects when dispersions defoamed therewith are applied on a 2-dimensional substrate. Dispersions of polymeric organic substances, especially dispersions of vehicles, coating agents and adhesives are defoamed by the addition of 0.01 to 2.0% by weight, based on the dispersion to be defoamed, of a polyoxyalkylene-polysiloxane block copolymer of the formula,R.sup.1 O--A--[B--A--].sub.m R.sup.1whereinA is a polyoxyalkylene block with the average formula C.sub.n H.sub.2n O--)y, in which n has a value of 2.8 to 4.0 and y a value of 15 to 100,B is a polysiloxane block of the average formula, ##STR1## wherein the R.sup.2 groups are the same or different and represent an alkyl group with 1 to 4 carbon atoms or a phenyl group, with the proviso that at least 90% of the R.sup.2 groups are methyl groups and x has a value of 10 to 100,R.sup.
