  • Publication number: 20160258105
Abstract: A device for softening fabrics in a dryer comprising a generally spherically-shaped outer body with one or more truncated surfaces and a securing mechanism for dryer sheets is disclosed. Various embodiments of the present disclosure include a dryer device having an open-ended body with a central securing mechanism coupled to an interior surface of the body. The securing mechanism includes a panel with a plurality of slits to form moveable flaps configured to secure a dryer sheet within the panel such that the sheet remains secured to the dryer device while tumbling through fabrics in a dryer load. • Patent number: 9365970
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure include an ironing board with two expandable front legs configured to expand to a wider separation in an open position than in a collapsed position. The wider separation in the open position allows for greater stability without increasing the size of the board in the collapsed position. The ironing board of the present disclosure includes a front leg pivot system that permits each of the front legs to spread apart from each other and an adjustable pivot mechanism that allows the front legs to move apart from the rear legs. In one embodiment, a cam is mounted to the two rear legs to serve as a track for the front legs. In another embodiment, a tension member is mounted to the two front legs to control the spread of the two front legs.

  • Patent number: 8100280
Abstract: A collapsible laundry hamper comprising a collapsible frame and a panel member removably attached to the frame to enclose and define the hamper. The frame includes a top frame member, a bottom frame member, and a set of elongate upright frame members disposed therebetween. Each of the upright frame members comprises at least two sub-members. The members are biased into engagement with each other via a biasing member. The biasing member maintains the frame members in a rigid frame position. The members are capable of being pulled apart against the biased engagement provided by the biasing member and articulated to allow the frame to be placed into a collapsed position. When either one of the top frame member and the bottom frame member is pulled away from the other in the collapsed position, the frame is urged to return to the rigid frame position under the influence of the biasing members.
