Sensor signals representing physical quantities of individual cells and/or individual modules of at least one battery of the battery system are generated. The sensor signals are transferred to a first and a second system controller. Both the first and second system controller evaluates the sensor signals and controls the battery system, depending on corresponding evaluation results. The first system controller is operated in combination with a first monitoring device and the second system controller is operated in combination with a second monitoring device. The first monitoring device monitors an operation of the second system controller and the second monitoring device monitors an operation of the first system controller. Depending on monitoring results of the first monitoring device and of the second monitoring device, the battery system is controlled.

    Abstract: A filter unit (100) is configured to filter a gas and/or particles out of a gas mixture, especially out of breathing air. A process is provided for manufacturing such a filter unit. A shell surface (M) of a rigid filter (1), for example, including activated carbon, is enclosed by a flexible jacket (3). The jacket is enclosed with a rigid cover (2, 5) at the outflow-side end. The process includes inserting the filter into a shaping body, so that a gap remains between the inner wall of the shaping body and the shell surface (M) of the filter. Free-flowing material is inserted into this gap, and this material forms the jacket after a curing. A second manufacturing process includes cutting a piece off from a tube and pulling over the shell surface (M) of the filter. The piece of tube then forms the jacket of the filter.

    Abstract: A method prints and dries a substrate where ink containing water and pigment is printed onto the substrate in an inkjet printing process. The substrate has an initial moisture content and absorbs at least water of the ink, causing the moisture content of the substrate to rise. Radiation selectively acting on the water molecules is applied in a first drying step and then radiation selectively acting on the pigment is applied in a second drying step in such a way that after completion of the two drying steps, the water of the applied ink has essentially completely evaporated and the substrate has essentially reattained its initial moisture content. In this manner optimum drying of substrates to which ink has been applied occurs.
