  • Publication number: 20080250932
Abstract: The invention relates to a filter mat, which is used in applications where it filters the flows of contaminated air that pass through it. In such mats, there are points where aerosols collect. This is disadvantageous as it lowers the efficiency of the mat. The present invention overcomes this by having, at these points, wicks (2) that absorb said collections.

  • Publication number: 20080006575
Abstract: In a filter unit with a folded filter mat that has spacing devices between parallel opposing parts of the filter mat, the contaminants (e.g. liquids) that have been filtered out collect at the bottom of the unit. The air flowing through the unit is capable of sucking up contaminant liquids so that the air leaving the unit, rather than being clean, contains undesirable, previously filtered contaminants. The present invention reduces such additional contamination by so designing/arranging the spacing devices that they prevent additional contamination being added to the air flowing through the filter unit.

  • Patent number: 6761885
Abstract: A novel strain of Lactobacillus plantarum, referred to as LB931, has now been isolated. The strain has been deposited at Deutsche Sammlung von Mikroorganismen, Braunschweig, DE. It has been assigned accession number DSM11918. Accordingly LB931 can be used for treating and/or preventing urogenital infections. LB931 can advantageously be included in pharmaceutical compositions and in products for personal care, such as feminine hygiene products, diapers and sanitary napkins.

  • Patent number: 6299387
Abstract: A conveyor comprises perforation bands arranged in the floor of a storage space. Some of the bands emit an air stream that in quantity or pressure differs from the air stream in the remaining bands and have apertures with a larger flow area than the apertures in the remaining bands. The larger apertures are provided: along with a first perforation band placed in the middle of a sector of the floor and extending across the entire sector; along one further band arranged on one side of the first band with a shorter extension than in the first band; and in portions of bands which portions are closest to the walls of the storage space.

  • Patent number: 6187990
Abstract: The invention relates to absorbent articles, such as diapers and like articles and is concerned with methods for preventing undesirable odors and/or preventing the growth of undesirable microorganisms when the articles are in use, and also provides an absorbent article which can be worn for long periods of time without generating undesirable odors, incurring the risk of infection or having a negative effect on skin. Another object is to amplify the presence in the wearer's urogenital zone of microbiological flora that will assist in preventing the occurrence of urinal tract infections. These objects have been achieved by adding to the absorbent articles microorganisms which exhibit antagonistic properties against present undesirable strains of microorganisms, so as to restrain the growth of these or establishing of new undesirable species.

  • Patent number: 5049185
Abstract: The disclosure relates to a method for supplying, with a lance (11), a liquid to a heat treatment oven, the liquid being vaporized by the oven heat and being introduced into the oven with the aid of a carrier gas, and a lance (11) for carrying the method into effect.According to the method, the liquid is, with a carrier gas, atomized in an end of the lance (11) facing away from the interior of the oven, the atomized liquid and the carrier gas being supplied to a vaporization chamber (12) with an outlet aperture (14) directed towards the interior of the oven, in which chamber (12) the atomized liquid is vaporized by the oven heat during simultaneous cooling of the chamber (12), and the thus formed vapor and carrier gas are caused to depart from the vaporization chamber (12) of the lance (11) through the aperture designed as a nozzle (22).
