  • Patent number: 6605899
Abstract: The discharge tube (1) of a dielectric barrier discharge lamp is closed off in a gas-tight manner with the aid of a disk-like closure element (7) but without the use of joining elements. For this purpose, the discharge tube (1) has a constriction (10), which surrounds the edge of the disk-like closure element (7) in the form of a ring.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 23, 2002
Date of Patent: August 12, 2003
Assignee: Patent-Treuhand-Gesellschaft fuer Elektrische Gluehlampen mbH
Inventors: Werner Berlinghof, Rolf Bäuerle, Gerhard Döll

  • Patent number: 4543102
Abstract: The invention relates to aqueous low-viscosity printing inks which, in addition to containing at least one sublimable dye suitable for transfer printing and optionally further ingredients, also contains a mixture of at least one polyvinyl alcohol and a polyacrylate and/or a styrene acrylic copolymer. Such printing inks are suitable in particular for printing supports for transfer printing on gravure printing machines.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 3, 1983
Date of Patent: September 24, 1985
    Assignee: Ciba-Geigy AG
    Inventors: Raymond Defago, Rolf Bauerle
  • Patent number: 4427413
Abstract: A dye mixture is described which contains the dye of the formula I ##STR1## and the dye of the formula II ##STR2## and in which the dye of the formula II is present in excess. Such a dye mixture, with or without further transferrable dyes, is used in transfer printing and enables the preparation of sharply contoured, aureole-free prints.

  • Patent number: 4265630
Abstract: A thermal dry transfer-printing process for printing synthetic fibre materials with multi-color effects, wherein there is used an intermediate carrier which is printed:(1) in places with at least one reserve printing paste or ink, and(2) with a printing paste or ink for printing the base (ground). The reserve paste or ink (1) contains at least:(a) one solvent,(b) one thickener,(c) optionally one non-reservable, sublimable disperse dye,(d) optionally one curing catalyst, and(e) one organic solvent and/or water. The printing paste or ink (2) for printing the base contains at least:(b) one thickener,(g) one reservable, sublimable disperse dye,(e) one organic solvent and/or water, and(f) optionally one binder. The printed intermediate carrier is fast to rubbing and is storage-stable. It is brought into contact with the fibre materials, and both are subjected to a heat treatment at elevated temperature until the non-reservable dyes are transferred from the carrier to the fibre material.

  • Patent number: 4155707
Abstract: A wet transfer process for dyeing and printing synthetic and natural nitrogenous material by applying to an inert support a printing ink which contains at least one dye and/or fluorescent brightening agent, a binder or thickener, water and/or an organic solvent, and drying said ink, then bringing the treated side of the support into contact with the surface of the material to be dyed which has been pretreated with an aqueous solution or emulsion, subsequently subjecting support and material, with or without mechanical pressure, to a heat treatment of 100.degree. to 130.degree. C., preferably 105.degree. to 120.degree. C.
