  • Publication number: 20170314670
Abstract: Proposed is a hydraulic supply system in an automatic transmission of a vehicle, said hydraulic supply system having a primary hydraulic circuit (I) for supplying the transmission components, having a secondary hydraulic circuit (II) for lubricating and cooling the transmission components and having at least one pump (P) for generating a supply flow rate in the hydraulic circuits (I, II), wherein a detecting device (E) for detecting the current hydraulic fluid volumetric flow rate in the secondary hydraulic circuit (II) for adjusting a minimum supply flow rate of the pump (P) is provided.

  • Patent number: 5590599
Abstract: A method for regulating ink distribution in a printing machine is disclosed. In accordance with the disclosed method, a basic ink quantity and a compensating ink film thickness are determined for a printing plate to be loaded into the printing machine. All of the inking rollers of the printing machine are fed ink until the ink thickness on each roller is substantially equal to the compensating ink thickness. A steady state ink distribution within the printing machine will be attained relatively quickly, thereby minimizing print waste and time required to attain steady state.

  • Patent number: 5181257
Abstract: A system and method for determining register differences between the images making up a multi-color printed image. A color video camera with macro optics scans at least a part of the image. The video image is processed to derive a plurality of single-color images, information from which is stored in respective single color memories. A register-checking location is selected having a contour in the printed image which has at least two superimposed single colors. The information in the color memories is processed to determine separation contours for the respective colors. Offsets are determined for the contours in the respective image memories as a measure of register differences between the images.

  • Patent number: 5041655
Abstract: An improved method of preparing 1,6-di(N.sup.3 -cyano-N.sup.1 -guanidino) hexane from alkali dicyanamide and a hexamethylene diammonium salt in alcoholic solution or suspension. The reaction is carried out in the presence of a limited amount of water and of a catalytic amount of a base, preferably a tertiary amine. The pH of the reaction mixture at the start of the reaction is 8 to 10. After the reaction is over, the reaction mixture is compounded with water at a temperature above 80.degree. C. and the coarse product which crystallizes out is separated from the liquid phase.Preferably, sodium dicyanamide and hexamethylene diamine dihydrochloride, preferably formed in situ from aqueous 1,6-diaminohexane and aqueous hydrochloric acid, are reacted at pH 9-9.5 in n-butanol in the presence of 0.1 to 20% by wt. water in relation to the solvent including water.1,6-di(N.sup.3 -cyano-N.sup.

  • Patent number: 4963028
Abstract: Method and apparatus for scanning an ink test strip printed on a sheet, the sheet being positioned on a table traversed in two directions by a scanning head. The table includes guide means including a bar for positioning the sheet in a first dimension and an index mark for positioning the sheet and its associated test strip in a second dimension. The scanning head indexes to the index mark which physically establishes a first coordinate for the test strip. Thereupon, the scanning head indexes in a second direction to automatically locate the test strip based on the size of the test strip as sensed by the densitometric sensing device associated with the scanning head. Having located the second coordinate Y.sub.s for the initial test patch of the test strip, the system then initiates the scan along the test strip to measure the optical density of each test patch relating to each printed zone on the sheet.

  • Patent number: 4332196
Abstract: An ink fountain of the type in which ink is metered from nozzles located in respective zonal positions. The nozzles have narrow axially extending openings in general alignment with one another closely side by side. A tank is provided adjacent the fountain roller, with the nozzles being in the form of slots at the bottom of the tank, the tank being sealed and connected to a source of viscous ink under predetermined pressure. Reciprocable slides are arranged side by side interposed between the nozzles and the surface of the fountain roller, each slide having a reference position for normally blocking off ink flow from the associated nozzle and being retractable to open the nozzle. A solenoid is connected to each of the slides for forcibly and temporarily retracting the slide from its reference blocking position. Each solenoid has a biasing spring for restoring the slide to its reference blocking position.

  • Patent number: 4094243
Abstract: A printing press having a plate cylinder and a cooperating cylinder, a layer of packing being interposed under the plate. A film of ink is applied to the plate by a plurality of form rollers. An eccentric bushing is interposed between the plate cylinder and the frame of the press rockable from a reference position to an adjusted position for increasing the spacing between the axes of the plate cylinder and its cooperating cylinder as necessary to accommodate an increase in the thickness of the packing. A cam sector is mounted at the end of the plate cylinder having spirally curved segments for radially supporting the rollers with respect to the plate and mounted for rocking movement for camming the rollers relatively away from the axis of the plate cylinder.
