  • Patent number: 6020051
Abstract: A polyolefin-coated photographic base paper that has a shiny gold printing on the back side, prepared with a printing ink that contains an interference pigment and a water-soluble and/or a water-dispersible binder.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 30, 1998
Date of Patent: February 1, 2000
Assignee: Felix Schoeller jr. Foto-und Specialpapiere GmbH &Co. KG
    Inventors: Rolf Ebisch, Hans-Ulrich Berner
  • Patent number: 5756200
Abstract: The invention relates to a photographic support material with a backlayer and to a coating composition for producing this backlayer. The layer is distinguished by excellent writing properties with pencils and is free of contaminations by aged developing baths. It is composed of carboxylated acrylate copolymer, organic polyacid, coarse-grained silica, thickener and, preferably, colloidal aluminium-modified silica.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 22, 1997
Date of Patent: May 26, 1998
Assignee: Felix Schoeller jr. Foto- und Spezialpapiere GmbH & Co. KG
Inventors: Rolf Ebisch, Hans-Ulrich Berner, Hans-Udo Tyrakowski
  • Patent number: 5658677
Abstract: This invention describes an image carrier material for electrophotographic processes which provides images similar to photographs and is built up from at least five layers. A base paper is coated on both sides with thermoplastic materials and in addition bears an antistatic layer on the reverse side and a receiving layer for the toner image on the front side.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 5614345
Abstract: A paper for thermal image transfer to flat porous surfaces is characterized by a paper support and a layer applied thereto which contains an ethylene copolymer or an ethylene copolymer mixture and a dye-receiving layer.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 28, 1996
Date of Patent: March 25, 1997

  • Patent number: 5466536
Abstract: A photographic support material has a reverse side layer which includes a polymer having a film formation temperature which does not exceed 70.degree. C., and a conductive material. The polymer may be a mixture of polymers or copolymers of styrene, alkylstyrene, (meth)acrylic acid and (meth)acrylic acid alkylester. The conductive material may be an alkali salt of a crosslinkable polysulfonic or polystyrene sulfonic acid or a coated or uncoated metal oxide from the group of metals of the 2nd to 4th main or sub groups, and may also contain a polyfunctional aziridin. The reverse side layer can be printed with thermal printers with only slight absorption of dirt and discoloration from developer baths, and has good adhesion of adhesive tape, good printability with conventional printers, good resistance to abrasion and baths, and a good antistatic properties.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 8, 1994
Date of Patent: November 14, 1995
Assignee: Felix Schoeller jr Papierfabriken GmbH & Co. KG
Inventors: Hans-Ulrich Berner, Rolf Ebisch, Eckehard Saverin, Udo Tyrakowski
