  • Patent number: 6683727
Abstract: An optical arrangement for symmetrizing beams which includes a plurality of laser diodes arranged next to one another. The plurality of laser diodes emit beams which are asymmetrical relative to a first direction and a second direction, with the second direction being perpendicular to the first direction. A microcylinder lens optics is arranged in an inclined manner around an optical axis. The beams emitted by the laser diodes in the first direction are collimated and deflected at different angles and are separated thereby. A direction element is arranged downstream of the microcylinder lens optics. The direction element deflects a beam of each individual laser diode in the second direction, whereby each of these beams is deflected by a different angle in the second direction, in such a way that central points of the individual beams converge at a predetermined distance in the second direction.

  • Publication number: 20030185492
Abstract: An optical switching matrix arrangement for optical communication and information networks based on optical fibers, including M different optical collimated input channels defining light beams and N optical collimated output channels defining light beams, each input channel being connected to a different output channel. A total of N2 transmitting and deflecting prisms introducable into paths of the beams at intersections of the M collimated input beams and the N collimated output beams so as to deflect the input-side light in a controlled manner onto corresponding output channels. A plurality of piezoelectric bimorph actuators are provided so that one of the actuators is assigned to each of the deflecting prisms for moving the prism, M=N or M≠N.

  • Patent number: 6122108
Abstract: A micro-optical beam deflection system, operable to be moved between discrete states with a pair of micro-optical lens grids arranged behind each other in the path of rays, and which can be mutually displaced transverse to the direction of beams, in which the lens grids are arranged substantially in the image plane of an intermediate image.
