Patent number: 7316534Abstract: An integrated pin and clip for securing vehicle trailer components. The integrated pin and clip includes a shaft member and a clip member. The clip member is movable between a locked and an unlocked position. The unlocked position allows for the integrated pin and clip to be inserted and withdrawn from a receiving aperture in a vehicle trailer component, such as a receiver. The locked position does not allow the integrated pin and clip to be inserted and withdrawn from the aperture. The integrated pin and clip also includes retention means that secures the clip in either the locked position or the unlocked position.Type: GrantFiled: June 29, 2004Date of Patent: January 8, 2008Assignee: Master Lock Company LLCInventors: Rolf Hohmann, Chris Irgens, Gary Burmesch, Kerry Jacques, Mark Van Handel, Michael Sheridan

Patent number: 7267355Abstract: A hitch assembly that includes an anti-rotation mechanism. The hitch assembly generally includes a hitch ball, a ball mount, and a fastener. The invention is directed to a mechanism for preventing rotation of either the hitch ball or the fastener relative to the ball mount. The anti-rotation mechanism of the present invention provides an engagement means for interlocking sections of the hitch ball or fastener with the ball mount, thereby blocking rotation of the hitch ball or fastener relative to the ball mount.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2004Date of Patent: September 11, 2007Assignee: Master Lock Company LLCInventors: Christopher Irgens, Frank Scott, John Zapushek, Rolf Hohmann, Mark Van Handel, Craig Kottke, Christopher Rhode

Publication number: 20050022618Abstract: An adjustable coupler lock for locking a trailer hitch such that a trailer cannot be removed from a vehicle. The coupler lock comprises a lock body with a locking mechanism and a locking plate, and also comprises a shaft having a narrow and a flange end, and also having multiple recesses along the length of the shaft for engagement with the locking plate of the lock body. The recesses along the length of the shaft have a vertical edge which engages the locking plate such that the lock body cannot be removed from the shaft without unlocking the locking mechanism. The recesses also have a tapered edge that allows for slidable movement of the lock body along the shaft, without unlocking the locking mechanism, for the purpose of adjusting the lock to the size of the latch. The components of the coupler lock are made of stainless steel.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 1, 2004Publication date: February 3, 2005Applicant: MASTER LOCK COMPANYInventors: Chris Irgens, John Zapushek, Rolf Hohmann

Patent number: 6717060Abstract: A circuit board (5) is described, consisting of at least two individual circuit board layers (10) made of plastics and produced by formation technique, which each have first and second functional sides and at least one microstructured positioning formation (16) on each of the first and second functional sides and at least one microstructured conductor trench (12) on one of the functional sides, the conductor trench (12) being provided with a metallization (18). This allows a low expenditure production of circuit boards having a high packing density.Type: GrantFiled: May 14, 2001Date of Patent: April 6, 2004Assignee: Harting Elektro-optische Bauteile GmbH & Co. KGInventors: Hans Kragl, Rolf Hohmann

Patent number: 5799393Abstract: A method for producing a plated-through hole on a printed-circuit board, whereby the printed-circuit board is initially bored, catalyzed, and patterned. The plated-through hole is then fashioned in an electrochemical deposition process so as to make it functional for the through-hole mounting of electrical components. The plating process is preferably carried out with nickel or nickel compounds, so that no additional corrosion protection is required. A direct bonding to the contact lands can be achieved by coating the contact lands with gold or palladium.Type: GrantFiled: September 23, 1996Date of Patent: September 1, 1998Assignee: Blaupunkt-Werke GmbHInventors: Wolf Backasch, Rolf Hohmann
