  • Patent number: 8412180
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for generating a signal train which can be played back on a tester for testing a mobile radio. First, a given command sequence is analyzed in respect of a signal train generated therefrom by the tester. The signal train which results from the command sequence is checked by comparing it with a standard-compliant signal train. Discrepancies between the standard-compliant signal train and the signal train resulting from the command sequence are detected and the necessary changes to the command sequence to generate a standard-compliant signal train are ascertained. In line with the necessary changes detected, commands or command sequence sections are supplemented and/or replaced. In this way, a command sequence which can be played back is generated and output.

  • Patent number: 8204497
Abstract: A reproducible method for testing mobile radio devices in different tolerant test modes by generating an instruction sequence that can be programmed or that can be obtained from measurement data, for controlling a protocol test that simulates a mobile radio network and that sends signals to the mobile radio device and tolerates allowable deviations of the received response signals of the mobile radio device according to mobile telephony standards in the tolerant mode while keeping a protocol of the unacceptable deviations as errors, and that terminates the test upon ever deviation in the strict mode and outputs the protocol on an output device once the test is finished.

  • Publication number: 20100173591
Abstract: A method for testing a mobile radio device in a real test scenario, using a test device in which signal sequences, typical of mobile telephony, of a plurality of base stations are produced. The signal sequence of one base station each is allocated to one of the plurality of send/receive channels of the test device. The signal sequence of at least one of the plurality of base stations is alternatively allocated to at least one of the plurality of send channels of the test device and the signals sent back from the mobile device to be tested are evaluated.

  • Patent number: 6480149
Abstract: An accessory module for a user terminal is disclosed that utilizes information broadcast from the GPS system to determine the user terminal's position on the earth. An improved electrical interface between the GPS accessory module and the user terminal is utilized that takes advantage of pre-existing electrical interfaces within the user terminal. The accessory module also includes a method and apparatus for managing its power consumption. A set of mechanical interfaces among the components of the GPS accessory module are disclosed for minimizing electrical path lengths, noise and crosstalk in the accessory module, and for providing for mechanical mounting of the components. A mechanical interface between the user terminal and the accessory module is also disclosed for coupling to an existing user terminal in place of that user terminal's removable battery pack.

  • Patent number: 5911548
Abstract: To form undercut grooves in a work piece, especially to retain turbine rotor blades, in a first step, the grooves are cut such that the flanks of the grooves have a preliminarily desired shape; then, in a second step, a bell-type countersink is moved radially to cut the desired shape of the flanks of the groove. Countersink cutters for the second step include a plurality of groups of cutting bits or inserts secured to posts on a shell, or bell-type countersink, in accordance with the profile to be cut.
