  • Patent number: 4729217
Abstract: In a combined gas/steam turbine power station plant with integrated coal gasification, the gas turbine combustion chamber and auxiliary firing in the exhaust heat steam generator are fired with fuel gas from the gas generator with nitrogen from the air separation plant being previously mixed with the fuel gas.

  • Patent number: 4389847
Abstract: A steam turbine plant capable of rapidly increasing its output in instances of sudden load jumps, by drawing the necessary process steam from a bleeding point of a turbine during normal operations, while, at the same time, filling a steam accumulator, or keeping full, by means of steam taken from a bleeding point of the high-pressure component of the turbine and/or by live steam. In order to boost the increase in output of the generator the drawing off of process steam from the turbine is interrupted and replaced by process steam from the steam accumulator, so that the condensing component of the turbine automatically receives more steam. Title of the Invention Method for the rapid increase in output of a steam turbine plant.

  • Patent number: 4301650
Abstract: A method and apparatus for regulating the pressure of water in a closed hot water circuit is disclosed. The apparatus includes a closed hot water circuit and a steam circuit, which water circuit and steam circuit are both heated by relatively hot waste gases exhausted from a gas turbine power plant. Two water lines link the water circuit to the steam circuit. A valve in each of these lines regulates a flow of water through each of the lines. A pressure sensor senses the pressure of the water in the water circuit. The pressure sensor communicates said pressure to a valve regulator, which valve regulator regulates the opening and closing of the valves in the water lines.

  • Patent number: 4274256
Abstract: A combined gas/steam turbine power plant is disclosed including a gas turbine having a combustion chamber and a steam turbine driven by steam generated with heat from the combustion gases of the gas turbine. The steam is utilized in a technological process downstream of the steam turbine. Relatively small fluctuations in back pressure are compensated by varying a delivery of fuel to the combustion chamber. Relatively large fluctuations in back pressure are compensated by supplying live steam directly to the technological process downstream of the steam turbine. Various devices are provided for conditioning the steam prior to being supplied to the technological process.

  • Patent number: 4207842
Abstract: A mixed-flow feedwater heater having a regulating device is disclosed including a feedwater tank having a deaerating dome. Steam is conveyed from a low pressure steam drum to a feedwater tank to heat and deaerate the feedwater. Feedwater is supplied from the feedwater tank either to the low pressure steam drum or to an evaporator. The water level in the low pressure steam drum is regulated to a desired level. The feedwater tank is connected to the steam drum by a steam pipe having a pressure-regulating valve which is subjected to the pressure in the mixed flow feedwater tank. The valve controls the pressure in the feedwater tank so that the pressure does not exceed a pre-determined value.
