Publication number: 20200024895Abstract: A transparent safety panel for producing resistant, surface flush butt joint glazing, including two plates and a receiving profile. The two plates are spaced apart from each other and are arranged substantially parallel to each other. The safety panel has an abutting end side and a mounting end side extending at a right angle from the abutting end side. The mounting end side can be mounted in the frame and permit fixing of the safety panel in the frame. The receiving profile is arranged between the spaced apart plates in a border region in the vicinity of the abutting end side. The receiving profile forms an open groove towards the abutting end side. A further safety panel can be connected to the safety panel in a surface flush manner without an additional frame via the abutting end side of the safety panel with the groove.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2017Publication date: January 23, 2020Inventors: Ralf Linden, Dennis Gresförder, Manfred Möllers, Christoph Bayer, Ulrich Hermens, Rolf Kochs

Patent number: 9848047Abstract: Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate migrating message for a messaging service. In aspects, a determination is made that messages need to be migrated based on a threshold being crossed. In response, an agent is instructed to migrate data associated with the messages to another location. The agent uses various factors to determine one or more queues to migrate. While a queue is being migrated, during a first portion of the migration, messages may be added to and removed from the queue as senders send new messages and receivers consume messages. During a second portion of the migration, the queue is frozen to disallow the queue to be used for receiving new messages and delivering queued messages. The migration may be orchestrated to attempt to achieve certain goals.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 2016Date of Patent: December 19, 2017Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Kartik Paramasivam, Sung Hwa Jin, Manu Srivastava, Muralidhar Krishnaprasad, Ruppert Rolf Koch, Venkata Raja Gopal Ravipati, Bin Li

Patent number: 6052363Abstract: A system and method for causal ordering in a distributed network with a minimum amount of delay. In a distributed network having three interconnected nodes, each having synchronized clocks, the second node sends a message to the first node. Before it sends the message, however, the second node attaches a time stamp t2 to the message. To determine when the first node can provide a causally ordered response, the method first determines a minimum message latency f from the third node to the second node. The method then adds the value of the time stamp t2 to the message latency f to calculate a minimum response time t1. On or after the time t1, the first node can provide the causally ordered response.Type: GrantFiled: September 30, 1997Date of Patent: April 18, 2000Assignee: Northern Telecom LimitedInventor: Ruppert Rolf Koch

Patent number: 5181746Abstract: A method which is easy to carry out for connecting domestic drainage conduits to collector sewers uses a special sealing sleeve, comprising a tubular, externally cylindrical body, the one side of which is closed by a thin elastic diaphragm, and on the other side of which, opposite the diaphragm, an outwardly projecting bead is mounted, and the inside wall of which forms essentially two stepped cones, the wall thickness increasing toward the diaphragm. The domestic drainage pipe, together with the sealing sleeve, is inserted in the collector sewer from the outside. The sealing sleeve allows a repair of defective domestic drainage conduits without extensive earth works.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 1991Date of Patent: January 26, 1993Assignee: Hoechst AktiengesellschaftInventors: Joachim Hessel, Rolf Koch, Wolfgang Sturm
