The device includes a transport system for conveying the printing plate while permitting axial compensating movements thereof. The transport system has at least one driven transport roller and an air cushion for holding the conveyed printing plate in contact with the transport roller. The plate-holding air cushion is formed between a counterpressure element, on one side, and the printing plate, on the other side.

Abstract: A printing-plate changer assembly for making-ready and feeding printing plates to a plate cylinder of a printing unit, the assembly including a printing-plate changer located upline of the printing unit, in a position for feeding the printing plates, and being articulatedly connected to the printing unit by at least two four-bar linkages so that it is pivotable upwardly into a swung-away position for servicing work, includes at least one element articulatedly connected with the printing unit and with the printing-plate changer so that it holds the printing-plate changer in both the feeding and the swung-away positions and assists the pivoting movement.

Abstract: A device for clamping the trailing edge of a printing plate in a plate cylinder of a rotary printing machine includes a torsion bar disposed in a cylinder gap formed in the plate cylinder and extending in axial direction thereof, clamping elements affixed to the torsion bar and cooperating with holding elements for clamping the printing plate, and actuators provided on both sides of the plate cylinder for stretching the printing plate in axial direction. The torsion bar is of bipartite construction, and the actuators, respectively, are mounted so as to be displaceable axially independently of one another.

Abstract: A clamping device for locking-up printing forms on a printing-form cylinder of a printing machine, having a plurality of clamping elements disposed so as to be adjustable in axial direction, with an adjusting device for respectively expanding and buckling a clamped printing-form edge, comprising a shaft whereon the clamping elements, with spring elements interposed, are axially displaceably mounted, and adjusting elements disposed on respective outer ends of the shaft for subjecting the clamping elements to forces acting in the axial direction.

Abstract: A method for removing a cleaning device from a printing machine and for inserting the cleaning device or another cleaning device into the printing machine, the inserted cleaning device being secured in position in the printing machine by a fixing device, includes opening a protective covering of the printing machine and automatically inactivating the fixing device by the opening of the protective covering, removing the cleaning device from the printing machine through an opening in the printing machine exposed by the protective covering, inserting the respective cleaning device into the printing machine, and closing the protective covering and automatically activating the cleaning device by the closing of the protective covering, so that the inserted cleaning device is secured in the inserted position thereof; and a printing machine for performing the method.
