  • Publication number: 20070186354
Abstract: Compositions which, as well as water, contain certain sulfonate salts or polyhydric alcohols together with ethoxylated/propoxylated alcohols and ethoxylated alcohols and also poly(meth)acrylic acid, polymaleic acid or partially hydrolyzed polymaleic anhydride are useful for pretreating textile sheet materials. Further ingredients also render them useful for hydrogen peroxide bleaching. The compositions, which provide the textiles with good primary wettability and good rewettability, are low-foaming. Batchwise pretreatment processes, for example in jet machines, therefore represent no problem.

  • Publication number: 20070151040
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for reducing dye loss or dye transfer from textile fibre materials or leather in the domestic sector, which comprises treating the textile fibre materials or the leather with a dye-fixing agent based on basic polycondensation products of an amine of formula and a cyanamide, which polycondensation products are completely or partially neutralised with an inorganic or organic acid, R1, R2, R3 and R4 each independently of the others being hydrogen or alkyl that is unsubstituted or substituted by amino, hydroxy, cyano or by C1-C4alkoxy and A being alkylene optionally substituted or interrupted by one or more hetero atoms. The present invention relates also to new formulations comprising the dye-fixing agent and to new dye-fixing agents.

  • Patent number: 6982243
Abstract: Water-soluble granules of salen-type manganese complexes that are suitable as catalysts in reactions with peroxy compounds are described. The granules are used especially in washing agents. They are distinguished by retarded dissolution of and improved action of the manganese complexes.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for reducing dye loss or dye transfer from textile fibre materials or leather in the domestic sector, which comprises treating the textile fibre materials or the leather with a dye-fixing agent based on basic polycondensation products of an amine of formula (1) and a cyanamide, which polycondensation products are completely or partially neutaalised with an inorganic or organic acid, R1, R2, R3 and R4 each independently of the others being hydrogen or alkyl that is unsubstituted or substituted by amino, hydroxy, cyano or by C1-C4 alkoxy and A being alkylene optionally substituted or interrupted by one or more hereto atoms. • Patent number: 6200948
Abstract: The invention discloses multifunctional textile auxiliary formulations comprising (a) 10 to 60% by weight of one or more than one nonionic surfactant of formula (1), (b) 10 to 60% by weight of the reaction product of one or more than one nonionic surfactant of formula (2) and of an ethylenically unsaturated sulfonic or carboxylic acid or an anhydride thereof, (c) 4 to 20% by weight of a hydrotropic agent, (d) 0 to 20% by weight of a nonionic surfactant of formula (3), (e) 0 to 8% by weight of a magnesium salt of an organic carboxylic acid, (f) 0 to 30% by weight of a chelating agent or sequestrant, (g) 0 to 10% by weight of a diol or polyol, and (h) 0 to 60% of water, with the proviso that the textile auxiliary formulations must contain one of components (e) to (g). The novel textile auxiliary formulations are distinguished by their low foaming properties, their storage-stability, their peroxide-stabilizing properties, their good emulsifiability and their good rewettability.

  • Patent number: 5885952
Abstract: A detergent base which is obtainable from the reaction of an ethylenically unsaturated sulfonic acid or carboxylic acid or anhydride thereof with a nonionic surfactant of the formulaR.sub.1 --O-(alkylene-O).sub.n.sbsb.1 --R.sub.2 (1)in whichR.sub.1 is C.sub.8 -C.sub.22 alkyl or C.sub.8 -C.sub.18 alkenyl;R.sub.2 is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 alkyl, a cycloaliphatic radical having at least 6 C atoms or benzyl; andn.sub.1 is a number from 1 to 60;and if appropriate with sugar derivatives. The detergent base has a good calcium-dispersing power, is very stable to electrolytes and heat and has an excellent washing action and anti-redeposition properties. It is therefore suitable for the preparation of powder and liquid detergents.
