  • Patent number: 11347836
Abstract: A method for authenticating a vehicle with a service unit by way of a central computer unit external to the vehicle is provided. An initial value is transmitted from the service unit to the authentication unit and, depending on the initial value, the authentication unit reads a request command from a request table and outputs it to an interface of the vehicle. The authentication unit receives an output value from the interface, generated in response, and calculates a vehicle check value from the output value. The vehicle check value and the initial value are transmitted to the central computer unit. Depending on the initial value, the central computer unit reads a characteristic value from a characteristic value table and calculates a further vehicle check value. When the vehicle check value and the further vehicle check value match the central computer unit sends a predetermined enable signal to the service unit.

  • Patent number: 6710558
Abstract: An electronically commutatable motor, in particular for a fluid pump, includes excitation windings that may be connected to and disconnected from a DC supply voltage via semiconductor switches that are controlled by control signals of a commutation device. Additional closed- and/or open-loop control of the output of the motor, is obtained with a temperature protection system in that the control signals of the commutation device are clocked by pulse width modulatable output signals of a PWM generator and in that the pulse width ratio of the output signals of the PWM generator may additionally be modified as a function of the output signal of the temperature sensor.

  • Patent number: 6691850
Abstract: The invention is based on a device for actuating a clutch (10), in particular for motor-vehicle drives, having an electronically controllable clutch servo unit (16) that comprises an electric motor (18, 52) and a reduction actuator gear (20) having two gear elements arranged coaxially in relation to each other (28, 38, 62 and/or 68, 82 and/or 96, 98) that are interconnected with each other in terms of propulsion via a thread (84, 86, 88) and that are displaced axially in relation to each other when they rotate relative to one another, whereby one of the gear elements (38, 68, 96) is immobilized axially in a housing (22, 58) of the clutch servo unit, and the actuating motion of the other gear element (28, 62, 82, 98) is transferred to a throwout bearing (42) of a clutch disk.

  • Patent number: 6594572
Abstract: A motor vehicle with an automated clutch in its drive train has a clutch control device for controlling the automated clutch and at least a further control device. The clutch control device and the further control device can be activated by means of an activation element which, when the ignition is switched on, sends an ignition signal VZ to the clutch control device and to the further control device. The clutch control device is or remains activated if at least one of the ignition signal VZ and an activity signal of the further control device is present.

  • Publication number: 20020148699
Abstract: The invention is based on an apparatus for actuating a clutch, in particular for motor vehicle power units, comprising an electronically controllable clutch acutator (10, 42) that comprises an electric motor (12, 44) and a reduction control gear (14; 48, 52; 50, 54) and acts upon a clutch (36) via a transmission link (30). It is proposed that a plurality of electric motors (12, 44) acts upon a clutch (36) jointly in parallel and/or in series.

  • Patent number: 6301090
Abstract: The electric motor drive includes an electric motor (10); an end stage (12) for triggering the electric motor; a trigger circuit (18) for pulse-width-modulated triggering of the end stage, which is associated with the end stage (12) and which includes an overload stage (20) for detecting an overload on the electrical motor according to a temperature of the electric motor and a device for obtaining a temperature from a pulse-width-modulation signal (16) generated by the trigger circuit (18). A preferred embodiment includes a device for integrating a differential power (Pdiff) equal to an instantaneous power (Pmom) minus an equipment specific limit power (Plimit) in predetermined time intervals to obtain an integrated power (Pnew). The motor is turned on or off by comparison of the integrated power with various limiting values.

  • Patent number: 5892343
Abstract: A windshield wiping arrangement with at least one wiper arm (11) is disclosed, which is operated by an electromotor (10) with reversible rotational direction. A time determination device (19) is provided, which determines the time (T.sub.n ; T.sub.n+1 ; T.sub.n+2 ; T.sub.n+3 ; T.sub.n+4) following the triggering of a wiping operation. Furthermore, a time presetting device (22) is provided, which presets a maximum allowable time (T.sub.max ; T.sub.max,n+1 ; T.sub.max,n+2 ; T.sub.max,n+3) for the duration of half of a wiping cycle. A comparator (21) detects a possibly existing time overrun and, with a time overrun signal (27), triggers a wiping operation in the opposite direction relative to the preceding wiping operation by reversing the electromotor (10). The windshield wiping arrangement according to the invention makes it possible to maintain a limited wiping operation when a blocking occurs (B1, B2, B3), as can be caused, for example, by a snow load on a windshield to be cleaned.
