  • Patent number: 6443272
Abstract: A vibration damper with adjustable damping force, having a cylinder in which a piston is guided with a piston rod so as to be axially movable. The piston divides the cylinder into a first and a second work space. At least one damping valve is arranged in a flow connection of one of the two work spaces and is adjustable via an external adjusting device. The damping valve has a sleeve-shaped housing in which a valve body is arranged so as to be movable. The housing of the damping valve is closed at the end by a cover which has, on the outer side, an engagement for the adjusting device which can be mounted separate from the damping valve.

  • Patent number: 6102171
Abstract: An adjustable damping valve in a damping valve housing for a vibration damper includes a valve unit with an inlet opening in the region of a valve seat face. A valve disk is supported on the valve seat face. The valve disk is pretensioned on its rear side by a spring, wherein the pretensioning of the spring is adjustable for changing the damping force in that a supporting surface of the spring is displaceable. The supporting surface is in a working connection with a catch device, wherein the catch device can be locked by steps in that the spring which acts on the valve disk applies force to the locking bodies of the catch device in a catch profile for resiliently holding the supporting surface in a locked position.

  • Patent number: 5887869
Abstract: The apparatus for carrying out the method comprises a plurality of delivery trays arranged in the manner of a circulating bucket lift, which on the basis of user inputs can be freely selected and transported to a loading plane in which an inlet opening for the copy or print jobs also is located. An outlet opening is provided opposite the inlet opening, the individual delivery trays can be moved around a passthrough region which joins the inlet opening to the outlet opening, and each of the delivery trays can, in order to receive copy or print jobs, be slid into a loading position in the passthrough region and receives the copy or print job intended for that selected delivery tray.

  • Patent number: 5857546
Abstract: A multiple-disk friction clutch, especially for motor vehicles, with a hub which has an internal toothing and can be placed on a gear shaft so as to be rotationally fixed relative thereto. At least two clutch disks are connected with the hub so as to be rotationally fixed relative thereto and project radially beyond the hub. A stop which guides the hub axially relative to the clutch disks is provided between the clutch disks. The hub is formed of two parts and includes a hub body having an outer toothing and a hub ring which has the same outer toothing and sits on a radial shoulder of the hub body. The outer toothing of the hub ring is offset by one tooth relative to the toothing of the hub body to form the stop for the clutch disks. The hub body and the hub ring are connected with one another so as to be rotationally fixed relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 5044623
Abstract: Apparatus for stacking sheets comprises a collecting bin with a front stationary abutment and a rear limiting element adjustable to various sheet size ranges. A first deflecting roller, adjustable in the entrance direction of the sheets and mounted on a rear limiting element, provides support for a transport belt transporting the sheets. The rear limiting element is mounted on a support which is movable in the entrance direction by means of two parallel threaded spindles rotatable by a stepping motor. A second deflecting roller which is associated with the outer side of the transport belt facing the sheet stack is arranged on the support, whereas the first deflecting roller is located on the inner side of the transport belt. Adjacent to the second deflecting roller, a stationary deflecting roller is arranged such that the transport belt is guided along an S-shaped path.

  • Patent number: 5007797
Abstract: A collecting bin for stacking sheets fed seriatem thereto, including an abutment associated with the front edges of the sheets in the area where a stapling device and a sheet-stack removal device are arranged. Above a sheet stack in the collecting bin and upstream of the stapling device, a rotatable shaft is mounted transversely to the sheet-feeding direction and parallel with the upper side of the sheet stack. The shaft is driven by a stepping motor in either direction of rotation. Separating fingers, arranged on the shaft, are selectively lowered onto the sheet stack by shaft rotation to form an inclined feeding surface for subsequently entering sheets, separating such subsequently fed sheets from the sheet stack beneath. When the sheet stack has been removed from the collecting bin, the shaft rotates in the opposite direction in order for separating fingers to deposit the separated sheets in the collecting bin.

  • Patent number: 4699371
Abstract: A sheet feeder includes a supply tray from which the paper sheets are individually withdrawn from the bottom of the stack. The stack supporting bottom of the tray is inclined relative to a horizontal plane, its angle of inclination being adjustable. The inclination of a supported stack can be adjusted according to stack weight or height. The weight of the sheet stack exerting pressure on stack support and/or the sheet separating device can thereby be controlled such that uniform sheet removal conditions are achieved.

  • Patent number: 4696615
Abstract: In a supply magazine of a copying machine closed copy paper packages are arranged in stacked relation. The copy paper has been preconditioned by the manufacturer and provided with a packing that protects the preconditioning.Whenever the copy paper supply for the copying machine has to be refilled, one copy paper package is removed from the supply magazine and advanced to an unpacking device and opened. The unpacked copy paper stack is withdrawn from the opened packing by a withdrawing device and moved to a magazine. The magazine is associated with a sheet separating device which removes individual sheets and advances them to the copying station.
