  • Publication number: 20040092649
Abstract: Stable, colourless diene rubbers stabilised with phenolic compounds are produced by adding one or more phenolic compounds (stabilisers) to the polymer blend in a subsequent process step after polymerisation of the monomers used and adjusting the pH value and oxygen content such that the polymer blend displays a pH value in the range from 4 to 11 and the oxygen content is 0 to 0.3 ppm, relative to the water content of the polymer blend.

  • Publication number: 20020120086
Abstract: The invention relates to quaternary polymers, based on conjugate dienes, vinyl-substituted aromatic compounds, olefinically unsaturated nitriles and amino group-containing monomers. The rubber vulcanizates or molded articles, in particular tires, produced from the quaternary polymers or their mixtures with other rubbers are balanced out by good mechanical properties, in particular by a desirable balance in relation to the rolling resistance, skid resistance in the wet and abrasion, which is of particular advantage in tire construction.

  • Publication number: 20020120052
Abstract: The invention relates to quaterpolymers based on conjugated dienes, vinyl-substituted aromatic compounds, olefinically unsaturated nitrites and monomers containing hydroxyl or epoxy groups. The rubber vulcanized products or molded parts, in particular tires, produced from the quaterpolymers and/or their mixtures with other rubbers are characterized by good mechanical properties, in particular by a favorable balance as regards the rolling resistance, antiskid resistance in the wet, and abrasion resistance, which is particularly advantageous for example, in tire manufacture.

  • Patent number: 6027505
Abstract: An instrument (1) for the introduction of an inlay (E) of an implant, in particular of an artificial hip joint socket (HP), into the associated shell (S) of this implant, comprises a bar (2) which has a holder (5) at its distal end for holding the inlay (E) firmly. Furthermore, it comprises an actuating member (3, 30) for releasing the inlay (E) into the shell (S). The holder apparatus (5) comprises at least three resilient lamella (50) which point in the axial direction, are arranged in such a manner that their free ends point away from the bar (2) and are shaped in such a manner that they form a snap connection together with the inlay (E) when holding the inlay (E).

  • Patent number: 4957955
Abstract: Plastisols of 80 to 5% by weight plasticizer and 20 to 95% by weight particulate polymer containing(a) from 5 to 60% by weight acrylonitrile, methacrylonitrile or mixture thereof(b) from 15 to 95% by weight styrene, .alpha.-methyl styrene or mixture thereof(c) from 0 to 10% by weight of a carboxylic acid copolymerizable with the monomers (a) and (b),(d) from 0 to 30% by weight and, in the absence of component (c), from 10 to 30% by weight of an alkylester of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or mixtures thereofoptionally a diluent and other constituents, the percentages by weight of plasticizer and polymer being based on the sum of plasticizer and polymer and a process for making such plastisols.
