Abstract: An air humidifier has an electric fan unit arranged in a housing for delivering a through-flow of air between feed-air and discharge-air openings in the housing; at least one filter device for the through-flow of air; and a device for releasing liquid to the through-flow of air. A first housing component accommodates the fan unit with filter strips and feed-air and discharge-air openings. A second housing component is a vessel for storing liquid. The two housing components form autonomous structural units which can be fixed to and detached from one another. It is possible for the first housing component to be utilized as a separate unit independently of the second housing component.

Abstract: Disclosed is a humidifier with an electrical ventilating unit arranged in a housing for supplying an air throughput stream between air inlets and air outlets in the housing, at least one filtering device for the air throughput stream, and a device feeding fluid to the air throughput stream. Humidifying the air throughput stream is optional by providing two autonomous, attachable or detachable housing components (2, 3), the first of which (2) can be used independently of the second one (3) as a separate unit. Said first housing component is provided with a ventilating unit (4), filtering devices (6, 8), and air inlets (9) and outlets (10), and said second housing component (3) is configured as a recipient for storing fluids.
