  • Publication number: 20080072720
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for starting-up a device for peeling a film (4) that is peeled off a substantially round material block (1) that is carried on a shaft (2), by means of a circulating knife arranged below the material block (1) and integrated in a stationary knife bar (3), wherein the material block (1) is adjusted against the knife bar (3) by way of the shaft (2), with the following steps: the material block (1) is lowered until directly above the knife bar (3), the material block (1) is rotationally driven mechanically and adjusted by a predetermined amount relative to the knife bar (3), after a predetermined peeling angle the desired thickness of the film (4) is set by adjustment of the shaft (2), and after at most one revolution of the material block (1) the desired size of the film is achieved.

  • Patent number: 5050472
Abstract: A contour cutting machine comprising a narrow band blade knife driven to oscillate in vertical or Z-direction, a cutting unit carrier having guides and driving means for guiding and driving first and second tool-carrying carriages horizontally in the direction of an Y-axis, and a table with divided plate for supporting and moving the workpiece horizontally in the direction of a X-axis, the table comprises first and second sliders for clamping the workpiece therebetween and moving same in the course of a cutting operation. The blade knife is rotatable about its longitudinal axis between the first and second tool carriages, to face in different directions of cut as required, and passes through a slot in the divided table plate. A hold-down means in the form of a sliding shoe may be provided to bear against the workpiece to prevent it from lifting away from the table plate.

  • Patent number: 4989488
Abstract: The drive mechanism for the oscillating tool has a transmission device comprising a band, rope or the like oscillating longitudinally under tension. This transmission device is driven by a connecting rod driven by an eccentric pin which is drivable with an electric motor. To reduce manufacturing expenses and lengthen service life as well as provide a higher operating performance, the connecting rod is pivotally connected to rocker member, with whose free end the transmission device, e.g. a band, extending transverse to it, is connected. To accomplish this the free end of the rocker member is provided with a clamping device for the transmission device and a coupling bolt on which an eye of the connecting rod is engaged.
