  • Patent number: 7516765
Abstract: Apparatus (1) for the introduction of air into enteral containers (2). A valve (14) is provided in a connection member (4) connecting the enteral set with the container (2) containing the enteral liquid and controls the introduction of air corresponding to the consumption of the enteral liquid. The valve (14) may include an oleophobic filter material that covers the air inlet (16) projecting into the connection member (4). The valve (14) on the side facing the container (2) is provided with a cutting device (20) for the foil closure of aluminum or plastics closing the container (2) in its initial delivered state. The cutting device (20) may be a circular or partly circular projection (28) rising from a low side (30) to a high side (32).

  • Publication number: 20040006329
Abstract: A device for holding and guiding a guide wire in a catheter. The device can be secured releasably to the guide wire, having a proximal end and a distal end, and having a recess that is continuous from the proximal end to the distal end of the device. The guide wire passes through the recess in order to introduce the catheter into a vessel or a body cavity of a patient. The device releasably secures the catheter, so that a common motion of the guide wire and catheter, in a previously defined position of the guide wire relative to the catheter, can be performed by the device.

  • Publication number: 20030236500
Abstract: An injection device for injecting an injection solution prepared from a powdered medication in sterile water immediately before use which is administered by a syringe. A winged cannula has a hollow needle and a needle holder with wings. A female Luer Lock connector is joined to the winged cannula by a flexible connecting tube and has an insertion region for the connecting tube and a connection region for placing the syringe, filled with the injection solution, against a skin surface, and also has a continuous bore that is continuous from the insertion region to the connection region of the Luer Lock connector. A porous filter element permeable to the injection solution is provided in the continuous bore of the Luer Lock connector.

  • Publication number: 20030018320
Abstract: A feeding probe for parenteral feeding of a patient. The feeding probe has a tube with a proximal end and a distal end and with a lumen passable in the tube between the proximal end and the distal end. In a region of the distal end of the tube, circumferential outlet openings are embodied for the discharge feeding solution introduced into the lumen of the tube via the proximal end. Between the circumferential outlet openings and the distal end of the tube, a guide portion free of openings is embodied, with a length that is greater than a diameter of the intestine into which the distal end of the feeding probe is introduced. A gastric probe is used in conjunction with the feeding probe for gastric decompression.
