  • Patent number: 11760235
Abstract: A fitting for a vehicle seat may have a first ring gear having first ring gear teeth, a second ring gear having second ring gear teeth, and a planet gear mounted on a planet carrier and which meshes with the first and second ring gear teeth. A blocking planet gear, which can be rotated about a blocking-planet-gear axis of rotation, permanently meshes with the first ring gear teeth and with the second ring gear teeth, and the distance between the blocking-planet-gear axis of rotation and the axis can be changed so that the blocking planet gear can be transferred selectively between locking meshing and non-locking meshing with the first ring gear teeth and/or with the second ring gear teeth. A vehicle seat having a seat part, a backrest and a fitting of this type for setting an angle of inclination of the backrest is provided.

  • Patent number: 11267378
Abstract: A crash-arresting unit for a vehicle seat may have a locking element and an actuating unit. The locking element can be brought into form-fitting engagement with a mating element via the actuating unit. The actuating unit may be an electromechanical actuating unit having a fusible wire, where destruction of the fusible wire frees a movement of the locking element in the direction of the mating element.

  • Patent number: 10518668
Abstract: A vehicle seat (101, 201), includes a seat height adjusting multi-bar linkage (4) with five transmission links (5, 6, 7, 8, 9), operative in normal operation as a four-bar linkage based on a locking unit (10) acting between at least two transmission links (7, 8). In the event of a crash a crash blocking unit (121) locks a vehicle-structure-fixed frame (5) and a rocker (8) to each other, such that the multi-bar linkage (4) acts as a three-bar linkage. A transmission link (7) is arranged between the frame (5) and the rocker (8). In the event of a crash, the multi-bar link (4) acts as a five-bar linkage because of a load-controlled release of the locking unit (10), whereby locking of the crash blocking unit (121) can be triggered independently of a load-controlled release of the locking unit (10) by an inertia-controlled pawl (125) of the crash blocking unit (121).

  • Patent number: 10493873
Abstract: A hardware system, for a vehicle seat, includes a fitting (10) having a first fitting part (11) and a second fitting part (12), which can be locked to one another and can rotate in relation to one another about an axis (A), a transmission rod (7) and a hand lever (5), the actuation of which rotates the transmission rod (7). The fitting is unlocked via a rotation of the transmission rod against a total characteristic torque (Moverall), produced from a sum of a first characteristic torque (M35), generated by a spring assembly (35), and a second characteristic torque (M61), generated by spiral springs (61). A first component (63) is rotationally fixed to the transmission rod and a second component (64) moves relative thereto during unlocking. The spiral springs (61) act between the first component (63) and the second component (64). A vehicle seat is provided having the hardware system.

  • Patent number: 10150388
Abstract: An actuating device (100) has a first part (5a; 334; 434) and a second part (5b; 310; 412) which can be pivoted about a first axis (A) relative to the first part (5a). A first segment (140) can be coupled to the first part. A second segment (150) can be rotated about the first axis (A) relative to the first segment (140) and can be connected to a locking device of a component (20) and/or to a locking device (350; 450) of another component (330; 430). Rotation of a deflecting element (120) moves a transfer element (130) such that the second segment (150) is not rotated about the first axis (A). Changing a distance between the first axis (A) and a second axis © allows the second segment (150) to be rotated about the first axis by the transfer element (130). A vehicle seat includes such an actuating device (100).

  • Patent number: 10071657
Abstract: A vehicle seat double fitting (10) includes two fittings (100) operatively connected to each other and each with a first fitting part (111) and a second fitting part (112) that are rotatable relative to one another around an axis (A) and are in geared connection or locked to one another. An adapter part (150) is connected to one of the first fitting parts (111) or the second fitting parts (112) and a second adapter part (160) is connected to other of the first fitting parts (111) or the second fitting parts (111, 112). Exactly one adapter part (150, 160) is fixedly connected to a structural part (3) of the vehicle seat and the other of the two adapter parts (150, 160) is limitedly moveable or rotatable around the axis (A), relative to the structural part (3) and the adapter part (150, 160) fixedly connectable to the structural part (3).
