Publication number: 20200117973Abstract: An RFID system with an RFID chip and a transmitting and/or receiving antenna that are applied onto a substrate material for sending and/or receiving electromagnetic waves. The transmitting and/or receiving antenna is formed by only a single electrically conductive thread that forms a linear, non-intersecting structure. A segment of the electrically conductive thread loops around the RFID chip without touching it across an angle of at least 180°, by which a capacitive coupling is effected between the RFID chip and the transmitting and/or receiving antenna. Patent number: 6361732Abstract: A process for the face-side, in particular thick, coating of a motor vehicle interior trim part or the like inserts the interior trim part, in uncoated form, in a defined position in a diecasting or injection molding tool. A mold tool with polished surface is laid under pressure and under heat against the face-side surface of the coating. In the mold tool, the resin or the lacquer is applied under pressure and under heat in a single operation onto the interior trim part surface to be coated in the manner of an injection molding or diecasting process despite a shrinkage due to curing. The resin or the lacquer is acted on with a uniform pressure during the entire curing time. The pressure is chosen such that any air present in the liquid resin or lacquer is dissolved.Type: GrantFiled: May 13, 1996Date of Patent: March 26, 2002Assignee: DaimlerChrysler AGInventor: Rolf Schumacher

Patent number: 5976341Abstract: A process and apparatus for electrolytically depositing a uniform metal layer onto a workpiece is provided. The workpiece, for example a circuit board, serves as a cathode. The anode is insoluble and dimensionally stable. Both anode and cathode are immersed in a plating solution contained in an electrolytic container. The solution includes (a) ions of the metal to be deposited on the workpiece, (b) an additive substance for controlling physical-mechanical properties of the metal to be deposited, such as brightness, and (c) an electro-chemically reversible redox couple forming oxidizing compounds when contacting the anode. A metal-ion generator is provided, supplying metal parts of the metal to be deposited onto the workpiece; The plating solution is circulated between the container and the ion generator for maintaining a reaction between the oxidizing compounds and the metal parts for forming metal ions.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 1996Date of Patent: November 2, 1999Inventors: Rolf Schumacher, Wolfgang Dahms, Reinhard Schneider, Walter Meyer, deceased, Helga Meyer, Silke Kaftanski, Petra Fromme

Patent number: 5840144Abstract: A process for covering an object such as a steering wheel with a natural covering, preferably fine wood veneer, wherein the veneer is cut into strips, softened and molded. The thus molded veneer strip is first glued to one side of the object and then the ends are trimmed. Thereafter, a molded veneer strip is glued to the opposite side of the object, and the ends are trimmed.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1996Date of Patent: November 24, 1998Assignee: Mercedes-Benz AGInventors: Rolf Schumacher, Andreas Kellermann

Patent number: 5633059Abstract: A veneer for the veneering of especially curved surfaces has a face veneer formed from thin veneer sheets. The veneer sheets are adhesively bonded along their edges so as to be butted flush and on the side opposite the visible side to a mock veneer which is arranged underneath and which extends over the entire region of the face veneer. To maintain the relative movability between the veneer sheets and the mock veneer, an adhesive is coated on underneath the veneer sheets and is influenced in its setting reaction. In terms of the setting reaction, the adhesive is still reactive over a particular timespan. Thus, when the veneer is finally applied, the adhesive does not tear apart at the joints during a shaping curvature of the veneer because the adhesive in the joint region of adjacent edges of the veneer sheets is set completely.Type: GrantFiled: March 21, 1995Date of Patent: May 27, 1997Assignee: Mercedes-Benz AGInventors: Rolf Schumacher, Klemens Barth, Kaspar Worms

Patent number: 5335937Abstract: Impact protection devices, arranged in steering wheels or dashboards of motor vehicles, for vehicle occupants are provided with covers which open in the event of an accident in order to release an inflating air bag of the protection device. The cover, which consists of at least one cover flap, is injection molded onto a carrier part by a tough elastic plastic. The plastic surround has along an edge, intended as pivot axis, of the cover flap a cross-sectional tapering which serves as a hinge. At the other edges, the plastic surround is constructed towards the corresponding edges of the carrier part as a groove which, in the event of pressure on the cover flap in the opening direction, easily releases the carrier part edge.Type: GrantFiled: September 3, 1993Date of Patent: August 9, 1994Assignee: Mercedes-Benz AGInventors: Hans-Wilhelm Uphues, Zivojin Petkovic, Wolfgang Henseler, Manfred Muller, Stephan Schreiner, Thomas Witkovsky, Thomas Fischer, Rolf Schumacher, Bruno Moltgen

Patent number: 5311645Abstract: A can distribution apparatus includes an assembly forming an endless path interconnecting a plurality of distribution locations for support movement of cans to and between distribution locations and an assembly for simultaneously advancing cans of varying degrees of fullness and readiness to a textile machine. The can distribution locations include a textile machine delivery location, a can return location, a full can supply location, and a can receipt location. The advancement of each can is effected simultaneous with the advancement of the other cans in the endless path independent of whether the can is empty, partially loaded or contains a full load and whether the full load is prepared for delivery or not. A detector detects the sliver fullness of each can on the endless path and signals this information to a control device which controls the distribution of cans to the various can distribution locations.Type: GrantFiled: September 14, 1992Date of Patent: May 17, 1994Assignee: W. Patent number: 5291995Abstract: A pack for notions and/or other relatively small commodities has a converted blank of cardboard or other degradable material and a light-transmitting plastic cover which is separably connected to a container of the converted blank. The converted blank further comprises a plate-like carrier having an opening so that it can be slipped onto a rail or an analogous support in a self-service store, in a workshop or at home. The plane of the carrier is located between the plane of a bottom wall of the container and the plane of a top wall of the cover. The sidewalls of the container forming part of the converted blank are removably confined between the lateral walls of the cover, and the top wall of the cover then overlies the open top of the container. The carrier can be separated from the container to reduce the space requirements of the remaining parts (container and cover) of the pack in a small area. The container can be withdrawn from and reinserted into the cover.Type: GrantFiled: June 24, 1992Date of Patent: March 8, 1994Assignee: William Prym-Werke GmbH & Co.
