  • Patent number: 9692080
Abstract: The invention relates to a head plate, fixing the end of a tube bundle with a number of, in particular, porous tubes with a membrane in sealing manner. The head plate is made from a metal or a metal alloy with a melting point lower than the lowest failure temperature for a tube material and/or the membrane.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 11, 2014
Date of Patent: June 27, 2017
    Assignee: WHITEFOX TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED
    Inventors: Robert Heggemann, Rolf Siekaup

  • Patent number: 8388049
Abstract: An undercarriage assembly and related method for motor vehicles includes a base and a support positioned adjacent to the base at a connection area. At least one nail is inserted into the support and the base of the connection area, which rigidly connects the support with the base without any pre-formed fastener holes.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: August 4, 2010
Date of Patent: March 5, 2013
    Assignee: Benteler Automobiltechnik GmbH

  • Publication number: 20090267337
Abstract: A vehicle frame for a motor vehicle, configured as ladder frame, includes two side rails which are connected by cross members. Each side rail is made of at least one longitudinally welded hollow section, wherein the hollow section has a cross section in the shape of a rectangle with wall portions, which are curved in cross section, and rounded longitude edges. The hollow section may hereby be roll-formed. The cross section of the side rails varies in its length dimension and ascends starting from a front region to a maximum and descends thereafter to a rear region H. The rounded cross sectional configuration of the side rails with slight oversizing of the outer dimensions results in a greater geometrical moment of inertia. As a result, the wall thickness can be reduced so as to attain a decrease in weight and cost savings.
