  • Publication number: 20190175803
Abstract: The catheter device comprises a motor located at the proximal end of the catheter device and a drive shaft, extending from the proximal end section to the distal end section of the catheter device, for driving a rotating element located at the distal end of the catheter device. The catheter device also comprises a hose-like catheter body which encompasses the drive shaft and extends from the proximal end section to the distal end section of the catheter device. At the proximal end of the catheter device, the drive shaft is connected to a motor by a clutch. The clutch is a magnetic clutch with a proximal and a distal magnet unit. The proximal magnet unit is connected to the motor and the distal magnet unit to the drive shaft. The distal magnet unit is mounted fluid-tight in a clutch housing. The proximal end of the catheter body makes a fluid-tight connection with the clutch housing.

  • Publication number: 20190125208
Abstract: The invention relates to a rod-shaped body (1) comprised of one or more filaments (2) and of a non-ferromagnetic matrix material (3). The matrix material (3) surrounds the filament(s) (1) and/or adheres them to one another. The rod-shaped body is also comprised of a dopant consisting of particles that generate magnetic resonance tomographic artifacts that is introduced into the matrix material (3). Rod-shaped bodies of this type can be used to construct guide wires, catheters and other instruments to be used in minimally invasive surgical interventions.

  • Publication number: 20180228952
Abstract: The catheter device comprises a drive shaft connected to a motor, and a rotor mounted on the drive shaft at the distal end section. The rotor has a frame structure which is formed by a screw-like boundary frame and rotor struts extending radially inwards from the boundary frame. The rotor struts are fastened to the drive shaft by their ends opposite the boundary frame. Between the boundary frame and the drive shaft extends an elastic covering. The frame structure is made of an elastic material such that, after forced compression, the rotor unfolds automatically.

  • Patent number: 6238421
Abstract: A system and method for heating cells surrounding metallic implants in living beings. The system includes a metallic implant within the living being, surrounded by the cells to be heated, an induction coil having an aperture sufficiently large to accommodate a portion of the living being containing the metallic implant, and an RF generator coupled to the coil to apply an electric RF signal thereto, the RF signal ranging in frequency from 10 kilohertz to 10 megahertz. The metallic implant is inductively heatable by the application of the RF signal to the induction coil.

  • Patent number: 5102415
Abstract: A triple catheter for removing of blood clots from arteries and veins is equipped with an outer catheter (1) that can be inserted into a blood vessel and an inner catheter (5) with an inflatable baloon (6) at its distal end that can be inserted into the outer catheter (1). The inner catheter (5) is surrounded by an intermediate catheter (2) also inserted into the outer catheter (1). The intermediate catheter (2) has a radially expandable distal end receptacle (3) made of an elastic mesh structure of spring wires or plastic monofilaments covered by or embedded in an elastic plastic coating. A very small puncture channel is required for the insertion of such a triple catheter through the wall of a blood vessel.
