Abstract: A holder for a single capillary tube includes: an elongated carrier which at one end thereof has two clamping jaws at a distance from each other for receiving one end of the capillary tube and an other end thereof a handle with an elongated planar area, the handle being connected to the elongated carrier in one piece. The elongated carrier includes a planar area and is thinner than a diameter of a capillary rod to be held, and at one end the elongated carrier has an elongated slit forming two opposite arms including clamping jaws. A planar area of the handle includes a marking field for applying information. The marking field is arranged on one side or on both sides of the elongated carrier.
