    Abstract: The invention pertains to electronic data processing systems including a plurality of removable units that communicate with one another via a bus. To enable disconnection or connection of the removable units without interrupting the operation of the system, each unit includes first means (4) controlled selectively by a maintenance device, to assure the functional isolation of the removable units.
