  • Patent number: 6024026
Abstract: An elevationally adjustable folding stage folds between a use position wherein the panels are substantially planar, to a storage position wherein the panels face one another. Support legs are guided into a proper folding position by a guide plate having a surface angling relative to both the vertical and horizontal axis that provides for moving the leg into a fully extended position. A spacer assembly is utilized which includes a spreader member and a spacer member having tabs engaging the interior of an outer telescoping member. The spacer members provide better alignment and less wobble between the inner and outer members of the telescoping leg assembly.

  • Patent number: 5660121
Abstract: A folding framework (18) for a ramp section (12) includes folding legs (20). The legs include extendable members (24) extending between the sets of legs with an inner sliding member (28) and a outer sliding member (26) providing for folding motion. The sets of legs (20) both fold inward to a storage position wherein extendable members (24) and the legs (20) lie substantially flat against the underside of a supportive deck (14). The extendable members (24) include an angled end portion (32) which extend downward and pivotally mount to the legs (20) for offsetting the extendable members (24) from the legs (20) when in the folded position.

  • Patent number: 5615451
Abstract: A stage or other structure having support legs includes rollers which are mounted so as to be supporting the stage in a first position and having the stage legs support the stage in a second position. A lift mechanism includes actuating pedals near the ground for raising and lowering the assembly. A linkage pivots the roller mounting member between a raised and lowered position relative to a cross member on the frame. A second pedal is selectively engageable by a single foot for retaining the roller assembly in either the raised or lowered positions.

  • Patent number: 5349789
Abstract: An elevationally adjustable folding stage has a frame which folds along a center of the stage from a storage position to a use position. Stage panels of interchangeable widths form a stage surface and are reversible and interchangeable. The stage may also support additional panels between stages extending therefrom to form an extended stage surface. The stage has a roller assembly which lifts the stage up so that rollers engage the floor for rolling between storage and use locations. Connectors between the frame and the stage offer quick connection without additional pieces. Connectors also provide for inserting risers to raise the height of one panel of the stage relative to the other. In addition to the risers, multi-panel supporting bases may be used to support the panels extending from the edges of the stage between stages.

  • Patent number: 4979340
Abstract: A mobile folding choral riser includes a foldable frame having means for receiving a number of removable riser steps at progressively higher locations on the frame. Locking means are provided for releasably securing the steps to the framework. A guardrail is provided along the back of the riser, and the guardrail is pivotable to permit overlapping with the guardrails of other riser sections when a riser in forward configuration (widest step at the back) is placed adjacent a riser section in reverse configuration (narrowest step at the back). Interlocks are provided for securing adjacent riser sections together, regardless of whether individual sections are in forward or reverse configuration. The riser can be folded between transport and operational configurations with locking or holding mechanisms for each configuration.
