  • Publication number: 20240085884
Abstract: A system includes a plurality of non-intrusive sensors, an access point device, and a computing device. The non-intrusive sensors are configured to monitor activities associated with one or more devices, wherein at least one non-intrusive sensor of the plurality of non-intrusive sensors is positioned within a physical vicinity of the one or more devices. The access point device is communicatively coupled to the plurality of non-intrusive sensors, wherein the access point device is configured to receive data associated with the monitored activities from the plurality of non-intrusive sensors and further to transmit the data associated with the monitored activities to a computing device for processing. The computing device is configured to receive the data associated with the monitored activities and process the data to determine an anomaly associated with the one or more devices.

  • Publication number: 20070034808
Abstract: A system to detect low-level nuclear devices concealed in vehicles on public roadways. Non-Poissonian background fluctuations occur in a single radiation detector, in a period of time small compared to the passage of a radioactive source in front of a detector. The background fluctuations do not correlate from detector to detector or time slice to time slice. A source passing in front of the detector causes fluctuations in both detectors; and the fluctuations continue during the time period the source is near the detector.

  • Publication number: 20050161607
Abstract: A system for detecting and identifying low-level (weak) radioactive sources moving past stationary detectors. The system, which can detect low-level sources moving at speeds of 30 m/s (about 70 mph), uses the differences between background counts and gamma counts from a moving source to determine that a source has passed the detector, when a source has passed the detector, and the identification of the source. This system has been demonstrated to work successfully for ordinary passenger vehicles transporting a variety of sources, and also for boats at lower speeds on a waterway.
