Abstract: A modular datacenter element, comprising: a modular space defined by at least a bottom panel; and a front wall having substantially the same length as the bottom panel, placed substantially vertically on the bottom panel; further comprising a plurality of racks for holding equipment, the racks being aligned in an opening in the front wall along the length of the bottom panel; wherein a first side of the aligned plurality of racks is spaced away from a first edge along the length of the bottom panel at a distance substantially smaller than the width of the bottom panel, thus creating a ledge bottom part between the first edge of the bottom panel and the plurality of racks. By creating a datacenter comprising multiple modular datacenter elements, a datacenter with efficient inspection possibilities and efficient air handling is created.
