It is determined, based on the location data and the occupancy data, which room of the plurality of rooms each wireless tag of the one or more wireless tags is located in.

In some embodiments, the method of determining the location of one or more wireless tags comprises, determining an occupancy of a room based on the occupancy data of the room. Location data of one or more wireless tags is received, the location data of each wireless tag indicating probabilities that the wireless tag is in a room. The locations of the one or more tags are determined, based on the location data and the occupancy.

    Abstract: A method for locating wireless tags is described. A signal including a RoomID generated by a transceiver is received by a wireless tag. The RoomID identifies a room corresponding to the transceiver and the wireless tag receives the signal asynchronously without being synchronized with the transceiver. A tracking packet including the RoomID and an identifier of the wireless tag is broadcasted by the wireless tag. The tracking packet is received by an access point which provides the tracking packet to a localization system that determines a location of the wireless tag based on the RoomID.

    Abstract: The occupancy detection system for determining an occupancy count of a room is presented. The occupancy detection system may include a thermal camera, sensor array, transceiver, central processing unit (CPU), memory, occupancy detection module, and network connection module. The thermal camera may capture thermal data which includes heat signatures generated by objects present in the room. The thermal data may be provided as input to the occupancy detection module. The occupancy detection module may preprocess the thermal data and apply machine-learned models to the thermal data to predict heat signatures generated by humans. The occupancy detection system determines the occupancy count based on the number of human generated heat signatures. The occupancy detection system may broadcast the occupancy of the room over the network to one or more client devices.
