    Abstract: An electrical and/or optical contact includes a body and a cable sleeve that prevents unwanted unlocking of a connection, connector, or adaptor housing such a contact. An electrical and/or optical contact (1, 4) incorporates a means for temporarily retaining the cable sleeve to which a pushing/pulling force is applied in order to intentionally lock/unlock the one or more contacts of the connector in its or their receiving cavity. This retaining means is dimensioned so as to generate a force that balances the pulling force exerted on the sleeve, as long as said pulling force remains below a predetermined threshold.
