    Abstract: A computer-implemented method for running on a computing device is disclosed. The computer-implemented method includes detecting an initialization sequence triggered by a network interface event. A request is received to load a non-local MAC address into local register storage associated with the computing device. The request is intercepted, and a local MAC address corresponding to the computing device is substituted into the local register storage.
