  • Publication number: 20230030867
Abstract: A lens with an embedded foil is produced, comprising the steps of providing a first mold and a second mold, providing a functional foil, positioning and attaching the functional foil on the first mold, aligning the second mold relatively to the first mold, sealing the mold cavity between the first mold and the second mold, and filling a curable monomer mixture into the mold cavity, wherein either the molds are heated before the alignment step or the molds are heated after the sealing step and the following filling step is conducted with a heated monomer, or the heating of the molds follows the filling step of the UV curable monomer, followed by a UV curing step of the heated UV curable monomer mixture within the heated mold cavity.

  • Publication number: 20180363140
Abstract: A vacuum-coating system for coating lenses comprises a vacuum chamber, an electrode holder having one or more electrodes, and a lens holder receptacle having one or more lens holders for accommodating one lens each. A separate electrode is assigned to each lens. A surface of the electrode facing the lens is a curved surface. In an outer area, the curvature of the surface of the electrode(s) can be greater than in an inner area. The distance between the electrode and the associated lens can be adjustable.

  • Patent number: 8345900
Abstract: There is provided a method for providing hearing assistance to a user (101, 301), comprising: capturing audio signals by a microphone arrangement (26) comprising at least two spaced apart microphones (M1, M2); estimating the total energy contained in the voice spectrum of the audio signals captured at least one of the microphones; estimating the value of the direction of arrival of the captured audio signals by comparing the audio signals captured by at least two of the spaced apart microphones; judging whether a voice is present close to microphone arrangement by taking into account the estimated total energy contained in the voice spectrum of the captured audio signals and the estimated value of the direction of arrival of the captured audio signals; outputting a signal representative of said judgement; processing said captured audio signals according to said signal representative of said judgement; and stimulating the user's hearing, by stimulating means worn at or in at least one of the user's ears (39),

  • Publication number: 20100102463
Abstract: A fluid is mixed with at least one further substance, the fluid mixture is degassed and delivered in such a way that the mixture is prepared in a preparation phase with the following steps: providing at least two starting substances in separate containers, with at least one of the starting substances being a fluid, conveying one starting substance after the other from its container into the tank, with each individual filling quantity being measured with a weighing cell, and stirring of the substances in the tank in order to mix and degas the filled substances; and pressurizing the tank with compressed air in a production phase in order to supply fluid from the tank to an output line provided with a process valve.

  • Patent number: 7695666
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for separating a cast lens from shell molds, whereby a separating tool exerts pressure on the lens but a height of the separating tool is guided along the interface between the lens and the shell mold to be separated from the lens. In a preferred embodiment the composite consisting of the lens and the shell molds is fixed on a holding device that can be rotated on an axis of rotation. The holding device is rotated by means of a first motor and the height of the separating tool is tracked by means of a second motor in relation to the height of the interface depending on the angle of rotation.
