  • Publication number: 20230250858
Abstract: A monotube damper assembly includes a housing defining a main compartment extending along a center axis between a first end and a second end; and a hydraulic rebound stop (HRS) assembly disposed within the housing adjacent to the first end and including an HRS sleeve having a tubular portion and a flange portion extending radially outwardly from the tubular portion at a first axial end thereof and configured to engage a corresponding ledge for locating the HRS assembly in the main compartment and preventing the HRS assembly from moving toward the second end, the tubular portion defining a plurality of recesses each extending axially from a second axial end of the tubular portion opposite the first axial end and having a depth that gradually decreases along a length of the tubular portion toward the flange portion An HRS assembly for a monotube damper assembly is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11320017
Abstract: A shock absorber assembly comprises a main tube disposed on a center axis between a first and a second end and defining a fluid chamber extending therebetween. A first piston is slidably disposed in the fluid chamber dividing the fluid chamber into a compression chamber and a rebound chamber. A piston rod attaches to the first piston for moving the first piston between a compression stroke and a rebound stroke. A hydraulic compression stop includes a second piston located in the compression chamber and attached to the piston rod. A tenon couples to the piston rod, located between the first piston and the second piston. The tenon includes a frequency dependent damping valve coupled to the first piston and an enclosure extending about the frequency dependent damping valve, coupled to the frequency dependent valve and the second piston, in fluid communication with the compression chamber.

  • Publication number: 20180354288
Abstract: A method for forming a flexographic plate for an image pattern including image features. The image pattern includes an array of image pixels, wherein the image pixels include printing pixels corresponding to portions of the image pattern where ink is to be printed on a substrate by the flexographic plate. Edge regions and interior regions of the image features are identified, which are separated by gap regions. A fine texture pattern is applied to the edge regions and a coarse texture pattern is applied to the interior regions to form a textured image pattern which is used to form the flexographic plate. No texture pattern is applied to the gap regions thereby leaving gaps between the edge regions and the interior regions of the image features.

  • Patent number: 6704123
Abstract: A method and computer-readable medium for applying tonal correction to a binary halftone image formatted in a bit-mapped manner. The binary halftone image is descreened to obtain an individual tonal value for a plurality of pixels representing the binary halftone image. The individual tonal value is compared to a calibrated tonal value to determine a tonal change for each pixel. Based on the tonal change for each pixel, a probability of change is determined for each pixel in a set of pixels out of the plurality of pixels. The probability of change is used to determine which edge pixels undergo a state change (i.e., on to off) to effectuate a desired tonal adjustment of the binary halftone image. Error diffusion may be applied to further distribute the state changes of the edge.
