  • Publication number: 20060086072
Abstract: The present invention relates to a filter structure for a nailer, wherein a step periphery and a groove are formed on an inner wall of a nailer, a filter plate is disposed in the step periphery, and then a fastener is received in the groove for limiting the filter in the step periphery of the nailer. Thus the filter plate will not fall off when the user assembles and disassembles other components of the nailer. In addition, the filter structure is able to prevent the filter plate from being deformed when the user assembles and disassembles other components of the nailer.

  • Patent number: 6626081
Abstract: An air-seal structure for pneumatic nailers includes a valve member movably engaged with the end cap of the nailer and a plurality of paths defined radially through a skirt portion of the valve member. The paths are in communication with air release passage defined in the end cap. A seal is mounted to the skirt portion of the valve member and closes the paths. The seal contacts an end of the cylinder when the trigger is not squeezed. The seal is sucked due to the difference of pressure so that it will not be loosened during movement of the valve member. A cushion member is connected to a disk member on the inside of the end cap so as to absorb shocks when the piston returns back to the ready position.

  • Patent number: 6581815
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a nailing depth adjusting and positioning device for a power nailer in order to protect the distal thread and stabilize the operation. The device having a circular groove formed in a rotatable member and a retainer ring located in a link in order to prevent the rotatable member from being overly rotated (to protect the distal thread), and the disengagement of the device, and having a steel ball and a spring mounted in the rotatable member, the steel ball cooperates with the several gaps in the safety device to locate the rotatable member, such that the starting distance of the device may stably be adjusted. Thereby, the depth of nailing and the position may be successively maintained.

  • Patent number: 6427896
Abstract: A safety device for a pneumatic nailer includes a push rod which has a connection end extending through an adjusting member and a pivotal member which is mounted by the adjusting member. The adjusting member is rotatable relative to the pivotal member which is connected to a connection plate. The hole for the threaded rod of the pivotal member has tow straight insides matched with two plain surfaces on the threaded rod. Only one groove is required in the adjusting member to receive a clamp whose two legs contact two notches in the pivotal member.

  • Patent number: 6264085
Abstract: A safety device for a pneumatic stapler includes a safety member rotatably mounted to a barrel of the stapler by a torsion spring located between the safety member and the barrel. The safety member has a first protrusion and a second protrusion. The first protrusion is pushed by a magazine connected to the barrel and the second protrusion is located at a higher position to allow a safety plate to be moved between the two protrusions. When the magazine is removed and the second protrusion is rotated to a lower position, the safety plate is stopped by the second protrusion.

  • Patent number: 6173963
Abstract: A sealing assembly for an inlet valve of a power nailer includes a fixed frame and a movable member which has a tubular portion movably inserted through the central hole of the fixed frame and is biased by a spring. The movable member is connected to the cylinder so as to push the piston of the cylinder. The fixed frame has a flange with a tapered distal edge so that a seal is mounted to the flange and the seal has a tongue portion rested on the tapered distal edge. The tongue portion movably contacts the tubular portion. The movable member has a tapered distal edge on which a tongue portion of another seal is rested and movably contacts a flange of the fixed frame.

  • Patent number: 6149046
Abstract: A safety device for a power stapler includes a pushing member movably received in a magazine of a power stapler. The pushing member has a protrusion extending from a top thereof and a block is fixedly connected to a side of the protrusion. A sliding member is slidably connected to the barrel of the power stapler and a recess defined in an end of the sliding member. When the last staple runs out, the block on the pushing member is engaged with the recess of the sliding member to stop the movement of the sliding member and the ejecting mechanism.

  • Patent number: 6089436
Abstract: A ventilation device of a power stapler which has an end base connected to the rear end of the power stapler and a cap is rotatably mounted to the end base. The end base has a recess and a protrusion extends from a bottom of the recess. At least one aperture is defined radially through the protrusion and a boss extends from the protrusion. The cap has a skirt portion and a passage is defined radially through the cap so that the skirt portion is engaged with the recess between the protrusion and the inside defining the recess. The boss is engaged with one of the dents of the cap so that the location of the passage can be adjusted by rotating the cap.

  • Patent number: 6059166
Abstract: An exhausted air dispensing device for a hydraulic power nailer includes a ring engaged with a flange extending from a recessed area defined in an end cap of the body of the nailer. The flange has a plurality of notches which communicate with a passage from which the exhausted air of the nailer flows. The flange has a plurality of blocks extending from the ring and located in alignment with the notches in the flange so that the speed of the exhausted air is reduced when the exhausted air blows against the blocks. A cover has an opening defined in a periphery of the cover which is rotatably engaged with the recessed area. A positioning pin biasedly extends from the end cap and the cover has a plurality of dents in the bottom thereof so that the positioning pin is engaged with one of the dents of the cover.

  • Patent number: 6059167
Abstract: A power stapler includes a barrel with a cylinder received therein and a piston is movably received in the cylinder. An end cap is connected to the rear end of the barrel and a frame is movably engaged with the inside of the end cap. A seal part is engaged with an annular space in the outside of the frame and contacts the cylinder. A plurality of passages are defined through the frame and communicate with the annular space so that the seal part is securely positioned because the pressure in the passages is lower than the outside of the seal part. A fixed member is connected to the end cap and a pad is engaged with the fixed member. The pad has notches in the distal end thereof which contacts the piston so that air trapped between the pad and piston is released via the notches when the piston moves back to the original position after a shot.

  • Patent number: 6024269
Abstract: A cylinder inlet valve for a power stapler includes a head member connected to the rear end of the barrel of the stapler and a cap movably connected between the head member and the cylinder between which a seal is connected which has a flexible portion so that when the cap is moved, the seal is removed from the cylinder and the flexible portion is extended and the sealed situation between the cap and the head member is maintained. Another seal is mounted to the neck portion of the cap with its tongue portion and connected between the neck portion and the short flange of the head member, so that the friction between the neck portion of the cap and the tongue portion is small when the cap is moved.
