Abstract: A method for registering a mobile terminal on a mobile telecommunications network includes leaving an operating range of a primary mobile telecommunications network. Data is received from other mobile telecommunications networks. A list of available mobile telecommunications network is determined. It is determined whether a mobile virtual network operator managed by the primary telecommunications network is available. When it is determined that a mobile virtual network operator managed by the primary telecommunications network is available, the virtual network operator is selected as a guest network, IMSI and MSISDN information received from the guest network is stored to a SIM card of the mobile terminal, and messages are exchanged between the mobile terminal and the guest network.

Abstract: A method for adapting a mobile communications device equipped with a Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) card reader includes inserting an additional integrated circuit in the mobile communications device on a substrate having a contact interface connectable to the mobile communications device. A request for additional software is transmitted from the mobile communication device to a mobile communication server using programming preinstalled on the additional integrated circuit. One or more message containing additional software for use by the additional integrated circuit are received in response to the request. Installing the received additional software within the mobile communications device or the additional integrated circuit.

Abstract: A biometric file securing system including a computer processor assembly containing an item to be secured and depicted on a corresponding display operatively associated with the computer processor assembly as an item icon. An access control icon is also represented on the display of the computer processor assembly and is structured to be moved on the display onto the item icon resulting in a restriction of subsequent access to the item to only an authorized user identified by biometric comparison of a biometric identifier with a stored biometric reference data corresponding to the authorized user.

Abstract: A secure computerized network access system including a plurality of local computer processor assemblies communicatively associated with a network server. The network server includes a network access control assembly associated therewith and structured to restrict access to the network server from a user utilizing a local computer processor assembly by requiring a personal access code before permitting access to the user. A biometric input assembly is further provided and is structured to receive a biometric identifier from the user and provide that biometric identifier to a biometric authentication assembly that compares it with a plurality of biometric authentication templates. The biometric authentication assembly is further structured to identify the user as an authorized user upon the biometric identifier corresponding a biometric authentication template, and to provide the personal access code for the authorized user to the network access control assembly.

Abstract: A biometric input device, system and method includes a biometric input device having a scanning window disposed in a side of a device body so as to facilitate positioning of a biometric sample such as a thumb. The biometric input device further includes a guide assembly in the form a ridge disposed about a periphery of a scanning surface so as to effectively align and guide the thumb onto the scanning surface and so as to prevent ambient light from entering the scanning surface an interfering with the generation of a light image.
