Patent number: 12048901Abstract: The invention relates to a method for a fabrication of a pore comprising membrane and a pore comprising membrane. The pore comprising membrane (1) comprises at least a porous metallic layer (3) on a porous substrate (6), wherein the porous metallic layer (3) is connected to the porous substrate (6) and the pores (4) of the metallic layer (3) overlap at least partially with the pores (7) of the porous substrate (6). The method comprises at least the following steps: i) deposition of the metallic layer (3) onto a support material (2), wherein the deposited metallic layer (3) forms a plurality of feedthroughs, in particular a percolation network on the support material (2), ii) removal of the support material (2), iii) connecting of the metallic layer (3) with the porous substrate (6) such that pores (4) of the metallic layer (3) overlap at least partially with the pores (7) of the porous substrate (6).Type: GrantFiled: November 14, 2019Date of Patent: July 30, 2024Assignee: ETH ZURICHInventors: Hyung Gyu Park, Roman Wyss

Publication number: 20240230120Abstract: An air treatment device is disclosed. The air treatment device includes an air duct configured to deliver an air flow. A first filter stage is included and comprises at least one air filter arranged in the air duct for filtering the air flow. At least a second filter stage is also included and comprises at least one further air filter and is arranged downstream of the first filter stage (for filtering the air flow after having passed the first filter stage. The second filter stage is controllable between at least two states with different filtration efficiencies, whereby, with respect to a filtration efficiency in the first state, a filtration efficiency in the second state is lower, in particular the filtration efficiency in the second state is essentially zero. An air quality sensor is also present, the sensor allowing for measuring the air quality of the air flow in between the first and the second air filter stages.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 24, 2022Publication date: July 11, 2024Applicant: BELIMO Holding AGInventors: Patrick REISSNER, Roman WYSS

Patent number: 9003964Abstract: An apparatus for forming bundles of printed products includes a lift element that moves vertically inside a holding area. The printed products are deposited on the lift element when the lift element is in an upper position. The lift moves the deposited printed products downward into the holding area so that the printed products are in position to subsequently be compressed into a bundle by pressing the printed products with an upward movement against a pressing element. The lift transports the compressed bundle to a lower position in the holding area where the lift element moves out of the holding area to a position in which the bundle is released to drop onto a support element. The lift element thereafter is moveable from the lower position to the upper position for the depositing of additional printed products. An ejection element conveys the compressed bundle out of the holding area.Type: GrantFiled: November 22, 2011Date of Patent: April 14, 2015Assignee: Mueller Martini Holdings AGInventors: André Roth, Roman Wyss

Patent number: 8794134Abstract: An apparatus for a forming bundle composed of at least one layer of printed products includes a lift, wherein an area above the lift constitutes a holding space to accommodate the at least one layer. The lift is adapted to lower the at least one layer. A control unit is connected to control movement of the lift. A thickness determining device is coupled to the control unit and arranged to determine a thickness of the at least one layer. The lift is controlled to be lowered corresponding to a previously determined thickness of a layer to accommodate a following layer of a bundle or to accommodate a layer of a following bundle.Type: GrantFiled: March 25, 2011Date of Patent: August 5, 2014Assignee: Mueller Martini Holding AGInventors: Markus Aebischer, Roman Wyss, André Roth
