  • Patent number: 8708642
Abstract: A new improved compact wind power turbine with multiple turbine blades and an isolated arrow point stationary nose is presented. Turbine blades (rotors) are connected to a circular cage, and at the center of the turbine, the isolated arrow point stationary nose points forward. Each turbine blade has a 90 degree right angle fin connected to its tip for capturing the force of the wind that applies to the blade tip, which otherwise spills over, reducing wind force and creating turbulence at the tip. The captured wind at the blade tip increases the rotational force on the turbine blades creating a greater rotational force than on other market-available wind turbines. Preferentially, the turbine is directed into the wind either manually, or by using a tail vane or other means for orientating turbine into a wind. A generator or alternator converts the mechanical power into electricity for use at industrial, commercial or home sites.

  • Publication number: 20130224041
Abstract: A new improved wind Power Turbine with rotors that are mounted for rotation about a central axle also a funnel shape inlet is present at the smaller ends of said passages. It delivers the air at high velocities towards the rotor. In addition a rotor shield is fixed on the right side of the turbine so as to isolate the rotor's reverse side from incoming wind. The central axle upper/lower bearing rotates in lubricated cups. Also an rectangle exhaust connect to a larger rectangle exhaust system where as air passage fixed with a sudden wider rectangle opening causes the exhaust air to evaporate. The central axle's upper and lower bearing is housed in a insulated area to prevent bearings from freezing.

  • Patent number: 7707951
Abstract: A substantially automatic, robotic-like system to aid in preventing crime in high trafficked buildings and other public sites, using only low voltage power, is described. In various modes it can protect public buildings such as schools, stadiums, open air markets, banks, office buildings from entrance of persons carrying weapons or separately trying to pass weapons into a protected area, even in the event of general power loss. Here a well designed, compact solution is provided for weapons detection and the detainment of persons attempting to disrupt, destroy or harm citizens in public buildings such as schools, banks, etc. with a minimum of restriction of access by persons regularly using the facilities. In other variations, it can be used to prevent unauthorized removal of costly or dangerous items from protected buildings or areas.

  • Patent number: 5703749
Abstract: Apparatus is disclosed for preventing injury to an occupant of an enclosed space as the result of exposure to a noxious gas. The apparatus shuts a source of noxious gases, when an unsafe ambient condition is sensed. More particularly, the unsafe condition is typically the presence of the noxious gas in the enclosed space. In some forms of the invention the apparatus also includes structure for latching that upon sensing an unsafe condition continues to send a signal to shut off the source of noxious gas. Some forms of the apparatus may further include an override for the latching aspect of the structure. The override may be a manually operated push button that operates a relay. The apparatus for shutting down the source of noxious gases is a relay in some forms of the invention and that relay may be normally closed in some embodiments.

  • Patent number: 5363679
Abstract: Apparatus for preventing theft of an automobile by obstructing rotational movement of an associated steering wheel of an associated automobile where the steering wheel has spokes connecting a hub to a rim, which includes a bar having a length that is greater than the diameter of the associated steering wheel with which the apparatus cooperates. The bar has first and second axial portions. The apparatus includes first and second apparatus for engaging at least two spokes of the associated steering wheel and apparatus for securing the first and second apparatus for engaging respectively to the first and second axial portions of the bar. The apparatus also includes apparatus for engaging the spokes of the steering wheel to the bar.

  • Patent number: 5342072
Abstract: A walker for an infant or incapacitated adult which includes a frame work dimensioned and configured for placement around the user having an upper member dimensioned to enable the user to support him or herself and a lower member encircling the legs of the user, the upper and lower members being disposed in spaced relationship. The apparatus also includes a plurality of wheels carried on the second member at spaced parts thereof and apparatus for locking the wheels responsive to passage of the walker into a predetermined zone of danger. In some forms of the invention the apparatus for locking includes a apparatus contacting the circumference of each of the wheels. The wheels may be caster wheels and the apparatus for locking may include a plurality of holes in the circumference of each wheel and a pin dimensioned and configured for engaging the holes. The apparatus for locking may include a cable connected to each pin for limiting axial motion thereof.
