  • Patent number: 10764981
Abstract: Disclosed are devices, methods, and techniques for providing photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) for plants, i.e. lighting. Devices including light emitting diodes (LEDs) are disclosed than can be used as lighting for plants grown indoors or outdoors. The disclosed LEDs significantly reduce power consumption for horticulture lighting, provide the wavelengths needed by plants to optimize growth, and provide growers with the ability to control PAR in order to optimize grow strategies. The disclosed LEDs provide the correct wavelengths of light (300-800 nanometers (nm)) for photosynthesis with a uniform intensity across the LED device thereby providing an even photon delivery to plant canopy and into the underlying leaves within the plant canopy. The intensity and mixture of wavelengths provided by the LED device can be controlled by adjusting the electrical power delivered to individual LEDs included in the LED device.

  • Patent number: 10296419
Abstract: In one aspect, a method includes powering down a target virtual machine (VM), removing the target VM from an inventory of virtual machine hosts after powering down the virtual VM, configuring a shadow VM by assigning an ID to the shadow VM to be the same as the target VM and by attaching a target VMDK to the shadow VM, adding the shadow VM to the inventory and powering up the shadow VM to run no more than a BIOS and to enable access of the target VMDK.

  • Patent number: 10235061
Abstract: A computer program product, system, and method for generating coded fragments comprises generating a plurality of thin differential virtual machine disks (VMDKs) associated with a VMDK; receiving, during a first time period starting after the first point in time, one or more first I/Os to be written from a virtual machine (VM) to the VMDK; writing the first I/Os to a first one of the thin differential VMDKs; receiving, during a second time period starting after the first time period, one or more second I/Os to be written from the VM to the VMDK; writing the second I/Os to a second one of the thin differential VMDKs; and generating a second snapshot of the VMDK for a second point in time after the second time period by applying data written to the first and second thin differential VMDKs to a first snapshot of the VMDK for a first point in time.

  • Patent number: 9411535
Abstract: In one aspect, a method includes receiving a first I/O at a kernel interface using a pseudo data storage system, writing the first I/O to a first virtual device on a datastore, receiving a second I/O at the kernel interface using the pseudo data storage system and writing the second I/O to a second virtual device on the datastore.

  • Publication number: 20070090554
Abstract: A method and apparatus for molding panels, the apparatus including upper and lower mold dies, a sprayer that sprays resin onto the lower mold die, and a wiper seal ring that's disposed in a position to form a vacuum chamber between the upper and lower mold dies as the mold dies are moving together from an initial sealing position to a closed position. A vacuum source draws air from the vacuum chamber as the mold dies are closing. The vacuum draws trapped air from within the sprayed-on resin to provide a superior class-A surface.

  • Patent number: 6129262
Abstract: A method for fluxless brazing of unclad aluminum includes forming first and second components to be joined of unclad aluminum; etching selected surface areas of the components; depositing an elemental metal on the selected surface areas; abutting the first and second components along the etched surfaces forming a junction; applying an aluminum filler about the junction; and heating the components and filler and bonding the components and filler.
