  • Patent number: 7469972
Abstract: In one aspect of the invention, a wear-resistant tool is disclosed which may comprise first and second cemented metal carbide segments chemically bonded together at an interface. The first segment may comprise a first coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) at least at its interfacial surface and the second segment may comprise a second CTE at least at its interfacial surface less than the CTE of the first segment. The first segment may further comprise a cross-sectional thickness substantially equal to or greater than a cross-sectional thickness of the second segment at the interface.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 16, 2006
Date of Patent: December 30, 2008
Inventors: David R. Hall, Ron Crockett, Jeff Jepson, Joe Fox, Michael Barnhill

  • Publication number: 20070290545
Abstract: An attack tool for degrading materials is disclosed which comprises a base segment comprising an attachment to a driving mechanism, a first wear-resistant segment bonded to the base segment, a second wear-resistant segment bonded to the first wear-resistant segment at a brazed joint opposite the base segment, and an outer diameter of both the wear-resistant segments proximate the joint comprising a finish ground surface.

  • Publication number: 20060148648
Abstract: Herbicidal compositions are provided which cause rapid symptomology while delivering long term control of regrowth of plants. The herbicidal compositions comprise N-phosphonomethylglycine or a herbicidal derivative thereof, a bipyridilium or a herbicidal derivative thereof, and at least one surfactant. A herbicidal spray composition is preparable from a particulate solid concentrate or a liquid concentrate. Also provided is a method for killing or controlling the growth of plants comprising the step of contacting the foliage of said plants with an aqueous herbicidal composition of the invention.
    Type: Application
    Filed: March 6, 2006
    Publication date: July 6, 2006
Inventors: Ron Crockett, Andrew Dyszlewski, Richard Kramer, Domingo Riego, Joseph Sandbrink, Donald Suttner, Dennis Williamson, Daniel Wright
